Still buzzing from yesterday. Brilliant from start to finish.
16 year old Chris Rigg - what a future this lad has.
On that showing yesterday, we have nothing to fear.
Throw in the new signings and we have a very decent squad. Looking forward to seeing the 19yo lad from Chelsea.

Nearly got derailed yesterday by Blackburn. They are a decent team.
Could have been 3/4 nil down before the penalty.
That said, took control of the game. Ba (if he could shoot he'd have taken the match ball home). Clarke - he is 100% Premiership quality.
What a team and we still have the Ukrainian lad to come in (anyone know what the hold up with the visa is?)

Spoke to BiL (Sunderland fan for 60+ years) after the game, I said I though you deserved a point. A bit slow on the uptake, too many wanting to pass the ball rather take a shot at goal, passing back and forth until they lost it and when someone did have a pot at goal it was off target.
Should have had a penalty first half though and that might have turned the game around.
His comment of "young team, still learning" rang true but if you want to get back into the Premiership you'll need to smarten up a little more. Leicester weren't much kop last year in the Prem, you're not that far behind them, gain a bit of pace and confidence and you'll maybe make it.

Go on then, bring me up to speed with the Black Cats then so I can explain to Mackem Wife and discuss with BiL (from Seaham).
Just missed out on promotion last year after a decent season. Started the season well.
Lost our main striker to Southampton but bought what looked like good replacements.
Jack Clarke couldn't stop scoring and looked the Premiership player he is.
Then we stopped being able to score. If Jack didn't score, hardly anyone else chipped in. Not the strikers - they didn't score at all.
It isn't that we play bad football. Lovely possession but do nowt with it. Certainly don't play through the channels to the strikers.
If we go a goal down, it normally isn't great news.
Uncle Tony will then throw on 3 or 4 players at once in desperation.
Something needed to happen and I am sad it ended this way for TM but it was obvious where the problems were and unsure why he couldn't see it.
Thanks, watched a few of the TV matches last season and realised you just kind of missed promotion.
BiL kept telling me you were a young team and would come good.
Clarke seems a decent player and Roberts(?) too. Not sure of the rest.
Back years ago it was always money and Mr Cowie wouldn't dip his hand in his pocket. Is that the same story now?
Looking at who are above you in the table, they're all Premier cast offs, good but not that good. You need someone with the personnel skills (Like our Mr Howe) to get the lads you've got up to speed, with a desire to play and win. Like our Eddie did with Newcastle after Steve Bruce got the peddle. Yes we bought but not excessively so, it was his efforts to get everyone fitter, faster, more effective and playing as a team not 11 blokes.
Good luck you'll get there.

I thought it was a good game. Leeds are a decent side. Their keeper pulled off a couple of great saves.
Farke reckons we parked the bus. Not sure what game he was watching.
Pritchard is such a clever player.
This league is nuts. 3 points won or lost makes so much difference.
I'll enjoy my day in the Leeds office today.

Don't know much of the team but there was a marked difference when Roberts & Ekwah came on. Clarke is a good player but needs to stop trying to beat 5 opponents and having a shot. Jobe Bellingham as good as Jude, you need to keep a hold on him, Patterson seems OK, O'Nein probably too. Not sure on some of the others. Probably not Premiership material without some training.
Didn't disgrace yourselves yesterday, their keeper made a couple of damn good saves to keep the scoreline 1-0. Could easily have been 3-0.

Sour grapes from Farke.
Another strong cb alongside Ballard and that’s a decent back 4 with Huggins & Hume. Dan Neil playing well atm. Pritchard is class when he’s on it, next manager needs to suss him out and get him firing consistently.
I wasn’t expecting much this season but we’re right in it, a decent January window and who knows…
