Farke reckons we parked the bus. Not sure what game he was watching.
As a Leeds fan I think that was disappointing and uncharacteristic from Farke; the reality is Sunderland played well on Tuesday, we didn't and you deserved to take the points. I suspect it was just frustration from Farke in the immediate aftermath of the game and when he reflects on it he'll realise we just weren't good enough.

I’d agree with you on that. I like Farke and was surprised listening to him after the game. Great result for us

I agree. Watched a few post summaries of the match and bit of frustration from the Leeds fans, especially as there was an opportunity to close the gap (as a side note I wish Ipswich and Leicester would have a month off!).

Leeds were good in patches with decent players. Always a good fixture between us. I look forward to the return leg for which I'll be there. beer

Pissed off doesn't even cover it.
Shambles today. To many players uninterested.

Beale is a car crash. Hasn't done his homework. No strikers AGAIN. He will be gone within 3 months.

Season over. Anyone want to provide some positivity?

Not a great week for the club given the Newcastle ticket saga either.

Merry Xmas.

I don't think I have ever seen so much negativity for a manager ever. I hear Sunderland fans were chanting for Tony Mowbray.

I couldn't stand the guy when he managed in Scotland. He is a nasty piece of work. Rangers fans did embrace his behaviour for a while, but even they hate him now.

Coming on here as a Newcastle fan since I was 10 in 1963, yeh, we were poor yesterday as well.

Beale: seems nomadic, never stops in one place long enough to make an impact. don't think you can blame him for the result against Coventry, didn't have long to see what he's working with. Purse and sows ear!
He actually did OK with 'Gers, that may have been the Gerard influence (he didn't last long afterwards either).
Give him a while, get the players actually believing in him, and importantly, the supporters.
Then maybe, just maybe.
Happy Christmas and a healthy happy 2024.

Considering how Liverpool completely toyed with Newcastle in their last match, it shows how big the chasm is.

Gulf in class obvious.
Several players were happy just to swan about (looking at you Jobe & Clarke).

Akwah is so frustrating. There is a brilliant footballer there who when on form just motors through the opposition.

Gutted.

Atmosphere was fantastic, such a shame that we didnt come out of our shell. Really felt we had a good platform to perform there.

I would also say we shot ourselves in the foot countless times (misplaced passes, poor decisions, penalty, etc). As opposed to Newcastle being mightily impressive.

They were better than us but not as good as we made them look in my opinion.

Exactly this, we're having a bad spell at the moment, maybe today we've broken that run. But while you're probably a match for the bottom 3 clubs in the prem., you wouldn't stand a chance against the top 10. But you're young, there's promise in there, just needs developing.

Second goal was a killer. Can’t remember us having a shot first half.
The gulf is huge but we’ll get there eventually.
Looked like way more than 6000 Mags behind that goal…

Saw that coming tonight the longer the game went on.
Some quality delivery from Pritchard (and some not so good) but no one to stick the ball in the net.
Is there any mileage in the (Keifer?) Moore rumours?
