Agree. I had us down after Hull. Very poor football and I was losing confidence in Gus.

Can't remember us ever pulling things round in this fashion.

I've supported Sunderland too long to think that's enough.

We have always had the capacity to completely balls things up.

Go Chelsea and finish it off for us.
I can now celebrate!!!

Here's to next season in the Prem.

Looking forward to the derby matches next year.

Poyet deserves huge credit.

Different story if Di Canio had still been on the scene?

I'd think so, he lost the dressing room, players hated him etc. Considering what a mess the team was in when Gus turned up, he really has done a marvellous job.

I'd like to thank Newcastle for the 6 points they gifted us this season too hehe

Even as a Newcastle fan, glad to see you guys staying up, Poyet has worked wonders. Always good to see North East teams in the Premiership.

I've always liked Gus ever since he was a regular in my fantasy footy team, he was an assist machine. Great bloke too. Congrats!

Only in the last 5 games to be fair. some of the performances under him have been woeful and his team selections have been bewildering at times, but it is a miracle.
As any Sunderland fan knows we always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory but for once in my lifetime it's worked the other way.
To that dirty stinking mag who always comes on here and has a dig hehe watch out next season because you'll be in the relegation dogfight biggrin

Congratulations Sunderland fans. It was a bit dicey for a few weeks, but you've done well to get out of the situation and I think that Gus has done a cracking job for you

Well done (from the enemy), not even my most hardened Sunderland mates had any faith in surviving a few weeks back. On recent form, you not only deserve to stay up but probably look the best of all the mid table teams. Not sure what next year will bring as there's a few players out but at least you have a manager who can inspire and get the most out of the squad.
