Yeah, it's getting a bit dull/worrying.

Seeing how Derby went at Chelsea was an eye opener for me - same for the way Forrest played against West Ham. Loads of piercing runs, loads of movement off the ball. Leicester and Burnley playing the same way.

Our lot look very static in comparison and just can't penetrate that final third. A sort of OAP version of the way Swansea played in our promotion season. Lots of tippy tappy and lateral passes and nothing else. We'd just send Routledge down the wing or get Taarabt to do one of his mazey runs and bang two in. Ironic to see where Swansea are now and what Routledge is doing for them.

Anyway, I don't think just adding one striker will solve it.

At this rate ending up in the playoffs will be a good result.
Quite right AC, all the other teams in and around QPR are showing much more togetherness than our lot of loanees, ok so Burnley lost but scored 3 against Southampton (Ings looks very good) Leicester again, although lost, showed some spirit, Derby are looking strong and so are Forest banging 5 in against West Ham.

We need a left back, a centre back, Simpson is 'ok' some creativity in midfield and I'm sure Benayoun isn't the man for that and a couple of strikers, I would love to see Ince, Wells, Rhodes, Austin and Philips play together, rather than O'Neill, Krancjar, Henry, BZ and AJ, yet Fernandes says we'll probably make 1 signing.

Harry out and Steve Clarke in?

I hate to agree as I really loved watching BAE until very recently but his head suddenly seems to be somewhere else. I wonder why.....

Of the existing three CB's are you saying you'd play Ned? He certainly gives a bit forward movement that Dunne and Hill, solid though they are.
BMRuss said:
Simpson is 'ok'
Got to love his endless bombing runs, not always convinced by the final cross.

It's a all a bit safe and ploddy there especially when you look at the others in the top 4/5. And Banayoun looks like more of the same to me.

Although it's not just about the strikers. Need some more movement from the CB's pushing up, then further forward movement/creativity from the midfield. Then one more striker on top.

Yes, that would be tasty - although I do keep seeing flashes of creativity from Krancjar

I guess we just have to wait and see.

But IMHO just singing, say Jelavic (as if....) would just mean that both he AND Austin are stranded up front.....

God knows what the managerial answer is - just lets get some more speed and movement on the pitch for now

Yeah, as I was saying, "strikers, who needs strikers....?" smile

Watched that on a stream and thoroughly enjoyed the second half. I don't remember enjoying a second half as much since Rangers beat Wigan 3-1 in the promotion year.

Finally, the performance we've been waiting for.

Interestingly, when Barton had to go off Henry and Tom Carroll had a great game. It just seemed to work. Kelvin doing the blocking, Carroll do the creative stuff and feeding Niko.

one swallow and all that! great result Saturday but not sure when a team comes to our place and gets behind the ball that formation will work. we just generally seem too laboured on the ball when compared to other teams.

still think that with a positive attitude rather that square passes between the CB's we'd be pissing this division.

Yeah, don't worry, I'm not getting carried away. It was just a relief to halt what has seemed like a prolonged slide over the last 4-6 weeks. Plus plenty of stutters leading up to that period

Yup

Yes - and we saw a bit that. Players actually getting PAST Austin for once. It worked.....

Eventful week, that.

Austin out for the season after Bolton but Doyle and Magoo both score on their debuts against Burnley.

Leicester now virtually out of site, Burnley and the chasing pack still uncomfortably close.

It's going to be tight all the way.....

UUUUU RRRRRRRssssss!

Does that mean you have Doyle, Zamora, Austin, Johnson, Keane, Maiga plus the young kid from Brazil.
Do you think he forgot how many strikers he had already? lol

Well it makes a difference from Hughes stockpiling (ageing) midfielders....

And don't forget Doyle, Keane and Maiga are all loaners. As are Carroll and Ekotto. Plus one or two others I've no doubt forgotten.

I give up, ropey again, 70% possession today, 0 shots on target, the vultures are circling Harry.

The pitch today was a disgrace, seen better at Ebbsfleet United.

Former QPR player Dexter Blackstock is suing another player that injured him.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshi...

I can see his point but at the same time...loads of players get injuries that can damage their career, and they don't sue. Surely it's part of the risk of the game? Or is this far more common than I'm aware of?

Bloody hell is Dexter Blackstock still only 27, seems like he's been around for a LONG time!

But yes, I can see this suing culture coming into football too.

Leeds tomorrow and I'm going again, why I'm not quite sure......

It isn't in that article but apparently if they get promoted they will be fined 40 odd million...so stuffed either way really!

65 million loss, just incredible.

Let's hope we can get £30m for Remy and £30m for Taarabt!

I don't even think we'll make the playoffs, recent form is very poor, away to Brighton tomorrow, we're gonna get our arses handed to us in more ways than one.

However, I will say one thing, injuries have played a big part, no Austin who has scored 14 this season, after him Philips with a huge tally of 3, Barton is suspended more than he plays, Simpson is ok, he's been out, the others are just there to collect a wage it would seem.

Injuries and lack of depth in certain areas hasn't helped. Your back 4 against Leeds was Hill, Dunne, Onuoha, Hughes. Basically 4 centre halves which in the modern era of attacking play is shocking. Plus it seems 'Arry is unable to sign anybody who hasn't been in the premiership at some point. Its like a who's who of washed up prem players.

Look at Leicester and Burnley who have pace and youth. Something very much lacking the Rangers side at the moment.
