On Holden, exactly and you could see that it lifted our fans as well. Think he must have shook hands with all the travelling supporters.
Reo Coker was excellent, Muamba looked solid as well bar a rather iffy backpass which Jussi could have dealt with better.
Ngog was poor, still not sure whether I rate him or not. Tuncay did better than usual in his cameo. Not sure about Cyril in the past when he has played against Blackburn Samba has just totally dominated him in all areas. I think he'd just get marked out of the game. Still I agree a rather strange decision not to bring him on as he could have done a defensive job. Not good seeing Alonso going off as he looked half decent not that he had much to deal with. We might have to endure more Robbo in the weeks to come though as it looked like Alonso got a bad one.

Great having the three points even though against a poor side. Played some good football in the first half.

So what says for Saturdays game then?
Anyone heard any rumours other than Ream and Hoillett? (sp)

Heard Bassong if we ever get rid of Cahill. Nothing else though and we defo need some quality in. Boyata has extended his loan until the end of the season which is good.
See Coyle is saying Cahill will play on Saturday. I think there is some funny business going on here, worst case is the deal collapses and Spurs, Utd or Chelsea come in again on the 30th sign him and we have no time/money to line up a replacement.

Looks like the deal for Ream is as good as done. Linked with Dos Santos from Spurs in the papers today and some other French guy, can't recall his name though. Dos Santos could be a good shout, doesn't seem to figure for Spurs and I imagine he will even less now that they are out of the Europa League.
Need to get Ngog sorted in front of goal, his shooting is terrible for a Premier League striker.

To be fair, we were OK, Liverpool were absolutely atrocious. Davies and Reo-Coker would never have got that time against the Dog and Duck usually.
And we looked horribly square and slow against Bellamy's pace. That will have been noticed by everyone else in the League.
What it does mean is that we're out of the bottom 3 and gives us a chance to try to stay there ... will we do it. Well, I hope this new Yank is mobile and can tackle with two feet.....

Looking much better with Ricketts in the team. Ngog is still not a good enough striker to lead the line for any Premier League club. We need someone to come in that can finish.
Liverpool were awful though, I'll be delighted if we are out of the bottom three by the end of February as we have (on paper) the easiest run in of all the clubs at the wrong end of the table.

Up to £7million for Zaha now. That's a lot of money for us and a lot of money for any club to bring in a 19 year old.
Not heard much else, Dos Santos seems to have been lined up with a move to Spain.
Matty Phillips from Blackpool, quality young player but I think we'd have to put a lot of cash on the table to secure him.
Davies could be going for anything between £500,000 to £1.5million depending on what paper you read.
Given that is about all i've seen i'm not filled with confidence even if we get any of them and retain Cyril. We're in a relegation dog fight and while Zaha and Phillips have a lot of talent, are they the type of young inexperienced player we need to keep ourselves in the league? Also need something else in defence, a proper left back would be a good start!

I've seen you've signed ryo miyachi from arsenal till the end of the season. Hopefully he'll get some game time cause he has massive potential. Could be a good deal for you. I think the way you helped wilshere grow as a player was a no-brainer for arsne.

As I said in September.... tonker said: See my earlier comment (last year !)
Cahill needs a new agent - his current one has massively screwed up and he doesn't want to be with us any more.
We DESPERATELY need some full backs. Mears needs to get his leg fixed asap and Robinson should go back to playing for the Dog and Duck - he is NOT a Premiership defender - he's hardly a Championship one.
Holden coming back should give us some stability in the middle, but I fear for Cyril now - I think his bolt has been shot - he's a worn out carthorse and he will keep flogging himself for the cause even though the legs are no longer capable.
Jussi's eyes are getting worse - he is being done from range again and his judgement is going downhill.
What I fear is that the 10 year escapade is now coming to an end - and with the wage bill we have, we'll do a Forest/City/Luton....... The only bit I got wrong was optimism that Holden would recover. If we had him, we'd be up, I feel. As it is, I think Publicity Phil will put us into administration at the start of next season, so we can at least have 46 games to try to stay up....

What team do you think we are looking at next season?
If we are lucky i will go for;
Bogdan Riley/Steinson Ream Wheater/Replacement (bye bye knight!) Ricketts Chungy Holden Reo Coker Eagles Sordell Davies
i think these are the players we can keep and will hopefully see us back up.
Chungy i reckon will stay with us until at least the january transfer window and then after that i reckon if he is playing well someone will come in for him!
Petrov & Klasnic are definitely gone, but who else?
