Glad to hear Robbo's performing at his best. Thanks for taking him off our hands! wink

Doesn't sound good. We need to beat Swansea and pick up at least some points against West Brom and Stoke as well.

Hoping that Coyle fields the subs bench against Arsenal tomorrow night in the cup so at least we can see who might be capable of stepping into the first 11.

Can't question Robbo's desire and determination but he just isn't good enough anymore. We get slaughtered down the left constantly with Petrov failing to track back and support and Robbo getting done for pace all to often. Ricardo did a job at left back for us a while ago, in fact didn't he get into quite a few peoples team of the year in the 05/06 season. What's the harm in trying him out there again as he is warming the bench at the moment and I'd rather have him on the pitch than Robbo.

ETA: Before Alonso is match fit again that is.

Well surely the game against the arse would be a good time to try an Alonso and Kakuta left sided partnership.

I wouldn't mind saying a few of the young un's getting a run out as well. Vela, Lainton (GK), Odelusi, at the end of the day we have no problem playing other teams youngsters in our squad why not try a few of our own!

Agreed but at least he can get back into a defensive position and at least get in the way a bit. Better than what Robbo has been doing of late.

Better off in fantasy land at the moment, completed my first season with Bolton on FM 2012 finishing 6th and conceeding 31 goals all season.

Get Mark Davies involved a bit more as well, we might actually create something then. Still maintain that he is our most poorly utilised option in midfield.

Speaking as a Burnley supporter, what's the view of Coyle? He got a bit lucky with us and got out quick when the going was getting rough.

It would give me great satisfaction to see him dumped; I have no dislike for you, but Coyle embodies a lot that is wrong with modern football for me.

I don't want Coyle to go. I really want to see him turn things round.

just heard this news

Manchester United are set to reduce their £4m asking price for goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak, who is expected to leave Old Trafford in the January transfer window

Jussi replacement anyone?

Was thinking the same thing, but the last few times I saw him play I wasn't very impressed. Don't see him as much of a step up from Bogdan. Kirkland will be available in the summer but I can't see that happening. My money would be on getting Scott Carson back from Turkey.

How long is Mears out for, i thought it weren't so supposed to be so bad and he would be back in december? Ricketts is nearing full fitness so there is a short term solution who can do a job until Mears is fit.

I agree with Left back needing sorting ASAP but also In the Centre of Defence AND the Keeper.

Wheater is proving to be better than knight (ATM) but when Cahill goes, something creek no paddle or something!!!!

So are we going to have the 25/30 mil to spend in January we will need?

NOPE!

It's friday and i'm all doom and gloom and it's because we are playing Swansea which normally i would be well up for but how we are at the minute i am not looking forward to it one bit!

After watching Swansea taking Wolves apart for the best part of 70mins last week I'm really not looking forward to it. Dyer and Sinclair are going to have way too much for Robbo to deal with. Our left side will cave in again and i'd suggest Robbo will be lucky to stay on the pitch because their quick feet and pace will have him done all ends up.

I predict a 3-0 scoreline to Swansea.

Regretfully I was nearly on the money. Not seen much of it but where did Ricardo start? Take it was left back if Robbo was on the bench.

Hope Coyle doesn't get bagged but we need to sure things up in a big way. I think he's realistically got a few more games.

Saw the sending off, it was a bit dumb. Two very obvious yellow cards at least they were for premier league ref's these days.

Didn't stand a chance after that, Swansea have too much pace and against 10 men it was too easy.

I think Jussi has lost it, he used to be one of the best shot stoppers in the league and his ability to pick out and fend off the 20yrd strikes was always up there with the best. Difficult shout though as you don't want to be bringing Bogdan into a side where confidence is low. He needs games but we need Jussi's experience at the moment.

I think we'll be right at the bottom with Wigan and Blackburn come Christmas. I think Swansea might get sucked into a scrap into the new year like what happened to Blackpool and QPR have too much money now so will spend their way out of it. Tough one to call but I think Wolves and Norwich will be close down there as well.

We need to sell Cahill at Christmas and invest the cash into some good experienced players or get some high quality loan signings in that are up for a scrap. Think we've only got Kakuta until Christmas so need to either retain him or bring someone in that has a chance of starting every game. Failing that we might get Sturridge back, he had a shocking game for Chelsea at the weekend.

It's not! BUT... what would we do? It seems we have very little money?

The Prem League seems not to have a problem sacking a Manager (and no doubt
paying up his contract etc)... but I cannot seem to remember a Player going
for underperforming??

We were shocking against Norwich, Sunderland (second half) and Swansea....
yet some of these players re-appear in the team the following week? Some of
Owen's signings are clearly not upto the Premier League...

Yep !
Much more of a happier bunny this morning....
Most of the players seemed to have put in a proper shift, and I agree with the previous posters comments
on Klasnic...... I loved the fact that at the beginning of the game the Stoke fans were shouting we beat you 5-0!! Brilliant how it turned out! I even saw a really old Boltan fan (must have been in this 80's) flickin the V's to the Stoke lot once the 5th goal went in!! Pity Muamba missed his chance....... Still onwards and upwards......

cloud9 after that. Got Stoke with a major European hangover though but putting 5 past them will do wonders for confidence. Glad to see M Davies starting and he turned in a really good performance. Didn't the youg'un do well, totally blinsided about him getting a debut never saw that coming.

..and what is that exactly? He didn't get out quick at all, like most of us he was providing a future for his family...On the commercial side of things.... and lets face it, Premiership Football is all about the commercial possibilities and nothing else.....Burnley offered him a year contract, Gartside offered him at least 3 years....bigger club, better infrastructure, better academy, established in the Premiership etc .. Like a lot of us, he went for the better prospects/coupled with more stable (young kids settled in schools in Lancs...) long term financial future... nothing wrong with going for the longer term option....

Don't get me wrong, some of his team selections completely stagger me, but am guessing he knows more than I do about football.... but when he plays Petrov.... I let him know that he is completely clueless!!

At the moment i keep thinking we should be panicking, but then i look at the table and we are only 7 points away from the top half.

Wheater is showing signs of being a liberty though and with the impending sale of Cahill we are going to be struggling at the back.

Which we have known for long enough anyway!

But when three established premiership teams are occupying the three relegation berths something has go to give.

Not holding out much hope for spurs away either.

RIP to a certain Mr Speed too.

Not looking good but if we accept the inevitable and let go of Cahill then we must buy Onuoha. We keep getting linked to him and he is certainly decent but we have to dangle a carrott and make sure we aren't to far detached from the rest of the pack. Shouldn't be too hard seeing how badly Wigan and Blackburn have been. I am worried that Norwich, Swansea and QPR might be too far ahead though.

Also RIP Gary Speed a fantastic servant to our club for 3 and a bit years. Certainly part of the band that helped cement us as a top flight club (at least until the end of the season).

frown <----- this is all i can muster after saturday, was in the lion of vienna suite to see the game.

Wish i hadn't gone! On MOTD you just see the highlights, what you don't see is the complete inability of certain players (Robbo, Boyata, Davies, Prattley) and no one was running into space at all!

about 4 or 5 times in the first half Tuncay was free and nobody wanted to give him the ball.

I'm sure Cahill saw how crap Boyata was too and that's why he tried to take him out!!!

again.........frown
