Going back to the original topic, why would the English Premier League even want Rangers & Celtic? Okay there is an argument that the bigger clubs would want them in but for anyone outside the top 6 of the EPL it's utter madness. Why give away a share of the pie? And why risk relegation by adding more competition?

This EPL talk has been going on for at least a decade or two - it's not going to happen is it so Rangers and Celtic should just plan accordingly and move forward.

Even as part of a new 2 tier EPL, they just don't want the old firm:

It's a pipe dream, time to give it up and face reality. Either find yourselves another David Murray (the 90s version who was happy enough to throw away his money for zero European success) or live within your means and continue to sign players on the cheap or use loan deals.

Scotland, a good few of them. We had hardly any Ireland internationals that year.

You talking about the teams or the body?

The teams wouldn't but the body would for the extra income.

Supporting Liverpool and growing up in the 60's and 70's its hard to believe that the likes of Kenny, Souness and the likes of Joe Jordan and Gordon Strachan have dissappeared. It was a mark of the quality of the team if you had Scottish players in it.

There's still plenty of Scots doing ok in the EPL. Gordon, Hutton, Ferguson, Adam and Fletcher just to name a few.

By the way, today's CIS final was just excellent! No wonder we're so passionate about our great Glasgow teams.

Rangers chairman admits today that the future of rangers fc is in danger!

Why would Craig whyte buy until the dispute with tax man is resolved?

If the ruling goes against RFC and whyte disappears then all the Huns better get a loan of the biscuit tin and start passing it around !!! wink

I think he was aiming for end of March, but then the need for diligence delayed things. So it ends up 5 weeks later.thumbup

I'm still wondering why you're celebrating having a man take over the club with a mega dodgy history and a reputation for buying companies and running them into the ground?

Well that's us back in the top league.... Boooo
Hopefully we'll see the league expand to 14 or 16 to bring a bit of excitement back into Scottish football.
