Cos we really care. I'll take 3rd in the league and progressing on from there over a run in a meaningless cup which we'll get knocked out of anyway.

Ever since the Premiership teams along with half the Championship cheapened the cup competitions by playing a team of 17 year olds no ones ever heard of they've become a joke.

A joke which you'll be providing the punchline to tomorrow! hehe

You keep telling yourself that. Watch the downturn begin.

I'd love to have seen your faces.

I've no doubt that my lot are heading for some heavy defeats in the coming days, but at least we can take solace in the fact it will be to top teams, not a bunch of argos workers and postmen hehe

Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to lose to Argos workers and Postmen next season.

We can concentrate on league matters now without the distraction of a cup run.

worryingly, i can see it happening unless we have some sort of miraculous turnaround.

Hoever, if we do go down, i can take solace in the fact you wont go up wink

I dunno whats worse, the 2nd string losing to a team below, or the first team getting humiliated by the ressies from the league above?

Cup runs can be looked at either way, look at QPR they lost and also suffered a bad injury so the cups done them no favours. Or Leeds, last year, they beat Man U but went in a bad run in the league. Ultimately, losing 7-0 will cannot have a positive side. You're st, you just have to know you are now...

Lets all laugh at Ipswich. That's made me smile.

For the record I'd rather not have a cup run either. Promotion is the priority.

Is Bellars fit? It'd be nice to see an ex-Norwich legend!

Odious little prick. Can't stand the sight of him.

Good player though.

Is Ward back? Whitbread is good enough if not, but if Cardiff turn up on the day we could easily ship 3 or 4.

Agreed, he is indeed a (short and very) nasty piece of work. However being an old git I best remember him when he was at CR in the late-90s when he played a massive part in keeping us out of D1 relegation trouble for a couple of seasons and in some games was simply awesome. Had a decent strike rate then too (prior to Muscat mad). I can't say I'd want him any where near my team (or dressing room) these days. laugh We kept him pretty quiet at their place so let's hope for a repeat.

Rumour has it that Ward is near to fitness, as is Lansbury thumbup Both would be major returns and PL may well be up for a few changes after Orient.

Fret not all will be fine, Whitbread has done pretty well and let us not forget that ‘The Lord’ can also do a fine job when required. By ‘the lord’ I mean Mick Nelson of course

As for Bellars I simply can’t agree, he remains one of the best players I’ve ever seen play for out club over the last thirty five years. He is right up there with the likes of Martin Peters, Fash, Kevin Reeves, Chris Sutton, Dale Gordon, Hux and one or two others.

He always gave 100% and was it not for that ---t Muscat we would have had a load more from him as well.

You are right though, he is a prize git but also when we went to Cardiff a couple of months ago he got a good reception from the Yellas and has actually very gracious and applauded us.

If you really don’t like him just think back to the winner against the Scum at their place, it cures all ills

Old farts hour indeed, Rob Newman blocked him in the toilet on the coach back from an away game I seem to recall. Also consider that he also studied the art of being a nasty little git under the watchful eye of Flecky and mastered it very quickly.

Looks like he might be injured anyway.
