You couldn’t imagine Daryl Sutch ever having done such a thing though!

Utterly crap player but a nice lad, he was selling BMW’s in Bury until quite recently, I never did ask about ‘that’ penalty.

Nope Bellars against the Scum, Fuglestad crosses from the left, Bellars gets across their centre half and heads home right in front of the Yellas, seats everywhere!!!!

Cardiff at Carrow rd this weekend. Hope DJ can sign some new defenders by then otherwise I'm predicting a goal fest!
Is Bellars fit? It'd be nice to see an ex-Norwich legend!
Odious little prick. Can't stand the sight of him.

Good player though.

Is Ward back? Whitbread is good enough if not, but if Cardiff turn up on the day we could easily ship 3 or 4.
Fret not all will be fine, Whitbread has done pretty well and let us not forget that ‘The Lord’ can also do a fine job when required. By ‘the lord’ I mean Mick Nelson of course

As for Bellars I simply can’t agree, he remains one of the best players I’ve ever seen play for out club over the last thirty five years. He is right up there with the likes of Martin Peters, Fash, Kevin Reeves, Chris Sutton, Dale Gordon, Hux and one or two others.

He always gave 100% and was it not for that ---t Muscat we would have had a load more from him as well.

You are right though, he is a prize git but also when we went to Cardiff a couple of months ago he got a good reception from the Yellas and has actually very gracious and applauded us.

If you really don’t like him just think back to the winner against the Scum at their place, it cures all ills
Don't take what I say the wrong way. I agree he was a cracking player for us, and still is on his day. I'd gladly have the early Bellamy on the pitch for us again, but his attitude later in his career is, as both you and Vario have agreed, shocking.

Saying that I feel a (tiny) bit sorry for him the way things have worked out at Man City.

With Drury fit again we stand a much better chance. A few teams gave targeted Lappin at LB and had plenty of joy. He's too easy to beat playing in the back 4.

We're quiet because we don't give a fk.

TBH I hate Arsene Wenger almost as much as Ipswich, so I was never bothered who won this.

Still your GD over 2 games is -6. Which is still st.

Before you mention it, I know we lost 6-0 to Fulham on the last day of the prem.

OK, I'll bite- Congrats, it sounded like a deserved win grumpy.

Arsenal must be kicking themselves- had they known your lot were going to make a fight of it they could have filled the Emirates for the 2nd leg without having to resort to dirt-cheap ticket prices wink.

Similarly, I wonder how many of your extra 10,000 'loyal' fans are missing at your next home game?

biggrin You'll get the chance to lose to them at least twice next season the way your league form is going.

Can't see Paul Jewell aping Lambert's feats of last season.

Its funny you come onto your rivals thread to celebrate your biggest win for over 10 years...

Enjoy your night, its just a blip in an otherwise terrible season for you, and i'm still pretty confident the gunners will turn you over at the emirates, so why dont you stick to your own thread, and come gloat on here when you've done something that we give a st about...

Let them get on with it. Nothing else to look forward to this season, apart from us visiting their shed and popping another 4 in.

I'm just about to leave for the game.

We should just about have your first choice team out today, so I think we'll score, but I never have confidence we'll keep a clean sheet at home.

I'm going 2-2.

Disappointed to see Norwich score in injury time. Would have been a massive 3 points!, but I would have taken 1-1 beforehand.

It's so close up there now though, going to be a very interesting end....

Yep its 'tight as' up top, i'd have settled for a point before hand too. Sounded like we had enough chances to win it though, also Holty should've had a penalty, but we've had our fair share of pens recently so what comes around and stuff.

I have to give a special mention to Russell Martin, our goalscorer today. He has been sensational this season for us, a lot of fans were saying he wasn't good enough for the championship, but i think hes established himself as one of the best RB's in the champ and now hes adding a few goals to his game too. Probably fave to be our player of the season. thumbup

ETA how long before those Pikey's down the road come on here? Actually, might be a while cos they lost today AGAIN, hehe same st different day hey fellas...

Martin was terrific today. I was surprised by his pace. Bellamy got a yard headstart on him at one point in the first half and he made it up and won the ball.

We struggled to create clear cut chances though. One pass too many a lot of the time, and a lot of the passes didn't come off.

Hoolahan was excellent again. His game has come such a long way in the last year. He chases back, wins balls, and still creates going forward. I wasn't a fan when he came to the club, but he's great for us now. New contract signed thumbup

The referee was AWFUL. Got so many decisions wrong. From where we were sat we didn't think the challenge on Holt was a pen (it's Holt, after all), but someone sat closer said it was a clear trip. We also had a blatant handball turned down in the first half.
