Looking on the plus side, at least you'll be first on MOTD.
If we carry on with Mr Hughton in charge we'll be on the Football League Show next season.

Ah, good to see a few of the championships finest creeping out of the woodwork smile How is life down there?

Anyway, to NCFC. I've not seen anything of yesterdays game. It sounded pretty awful. But, I still think we've got to give Hughton a couple more games. We're not cut adrift, we had heavy defeats last year and he turned it around, we were playng better until the last 2 games. The players need to take responsability too, I very much doubt CH was telling them to back off and sit off the MC forwards.

There is a lot of work to be done, but we have a few games coming up now where we can take some points. We desperatly need to find a way to provide some service to RVW and GH, they are both pretty natural goalscorers and haven't become st overnight.

The other issue is, if CH is sacked, who do we replace him with? There really aren't very many realistic candidates.

It was just as if the squad had gone to Ladbroke's and bet their week's wages on a 7-0 defeat. I can't believe I just said that - How very, very, dare I!

(Never seen 11 City players show less interest in being there. Go through the motions, pick up the pay cheque, try not to get hurt. It hurts the manager and the fans, though)

Saturday wasn't about luck. We didn't put any effort in, sat off them and allowed them so much space and time.

I'm still on the fence. We've invested a lot of money into the team this summer, and its his team. We've had a touch start to the season, Everton, Saints, Spurs, Man C, Chelsea, Arsenal all in the first 10 games. We've now got Palace, Newcastle and West Ham. I'd hope for 4-6 points from those 3, after Saturdays abject performance, god knows how we'd get 4 points.

We played reasonable well in the 4 games prior to our 2 games in Manchester, which makes me believe we can still turn this around.

As I mentioned before, there really are very few decent candidates who can take over. I think Hughton has perhaps 3 games left.

The problem is I don't see us getting much from our last 4 games either, so we need to be safe after 34 games.

Chris Hughton is a genuine nice guy, and maybe that's going to be a problem over the next few games. He needs to start kicking butt.

Yep that finale is pretty tough, but I think we will get a point or 2 out of it, there's often some strange results at the season end, take Man C away for us. But all teams have to play each other twice, so everyone else has to play them at some point. It would be nice to be on 40 odd points after 34 games.

I wouldn't feel confident of staying up though if we needed to get say 4 points from our last 4 games.
The Man C game last season was a no pressure game for us.

Well, that was a welcome win last night. I must say, it was looking pretty glum at half time, but that was a great second half performance, and will hopefully be the springboard for us to go on a decent 4 or 5 match run now.

I was watching in the pub, just 1 question, what was the deal with Pilkington? Was he injured or was CH just so pissed off with him for letting Ravel go for the goal?

The commentators said that he was hobbling around a bit and that they thought that probably led to him not being able to track Morrison, think thats the reason he was taken off. Redmond would have started anyway if fully fit IMO

Great 2nd half performance last night. Only watched it on MOTD as when I watch Norwich on Sky they usually lose. I agree that hopefully we should build on this and could move up the table with a decent little run. Maybe CH has got the capacity to turn it around.

Cool, cheers. I like Redmond a lot, while he worked hard last night, his passing was a bit off and I think that shot he had is still rising smile We have to be carefull with him, he's got huge potential, but we cant keep playing him 90mins every week, he's not quite ready.

What a complete and utter shower of st.

It's Liverpool, I get it. They're doing really well this season and all that fking bks. Doing so well they lost 3-1 to Hull at the weekend. Surely, surely, you'd at the very least, play your one fking striker who actually looks reasonably dangerous, Hooper.

But no, he's just scored at the weekend so I think the best thing to do is drop the fker. Tactics at its fking best. Good fking grief.

I tell you what, if I was in the dressing room at half time, you'd have to call the fking army, as I'd fking rip into ever single fker on that pitch, the touch line and then the board that thought that was a performance to be proud of.

Your a nice a guy Hughton, I get it. But FMFL get the st out of Carrow Road.

I'll get this out of the way now...the result is unacceptable, and it reflects horribly on Hughton. We don't compete away from carrow rd, and that has to change.

But...

We didn't really play badly. We were getting forward well, and creating chances. There's not a lot you can do when everything a guy hits flies in. Sure, we backed off a bit and allowed him to shoot, but who expects him to score from the positions he was in?

The long range strikes were brilliant, but it was the one from the corner that got me. 99% of the time that flies over, or nowhere near the goal, but not this time.

Ultimately, we don't compete in away games, and the blame for that does fall on the manager's head. I'm not particularly against a change of manager at this point, because I have had enough of the dull games and the constant vitriol towards Hughton, but Wednesday wast all that bad as a performance.

Leaving hooper out was unforgivable though.

Johan Elmander as a lone striker in the Premier League really is disgusting to see. 1 goal in last 28 at this level. He's a woeful player, no idea why he's here

Agreed. He was never going to bag a goal up there on his own. I've not been a fan of this campaign to get Becchio in the team recently, but I think he'd have been at least as good an option as elmamder.

Great goal from Hooper today. Hopefully we can kick on and get the win. He's in great form at the moment.
