You have to be the most frustrating team to watch, every single time you do something good as a team, someone makes an individual error, or makes a stupid decision and your moves break down.

Yep. Their third goal just came from a shocking (and unnecessary) crossfield pass. Suicide.

I really thought you would come back and get a draw. What a bloody pass he wants shooting. I think you have blown it now

Don't think the changes after your second goal helped. Ricky Van Dogsdoodah is rubbish in front of an open goal.

Van Wolkswinkel has been a bitter disappointment this season. When we signed him I can recall a poster in the club shop with a picture of him saying Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf. Patently no one. He couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo. When we go down, I hope we can hang on to Snodgrass as he's been our best player this season. I think Ruddy will go. Hooper should get us a few goals in the Championship and depending on who the new manager is I hope it will be a brief stay in there but as QPR have proved it's a hard league to get out of.

And Redmond will probably get an offer from a bigger club too. I got quite excited when we signed RVW, like most people I thought we were signing an international-class player. Doubt if we'll ever get our money back.

I wonder if David Moyes would take a big pay cut, just for the challenge? Whatever's happened this season, he's NOT a bad manager, just the wrong man for that club. He could just be the right one for NCFC.

Just musing - the whole world and his dog pointed to City's difficult run-in at the end of the season, but look what Sunderland have achieved. It's presumably down to attitude.

All the same - COME ON CITY!

No chance, I'd say. Assuming he wants another job next season there will be a vacancy somewhere in the premier league for him. He'll be holding out for a bigger job. Norwich would be much too big a step down (in his eyes) IMO.

It's no surprise, is it? Some of the decisions that have gone against all of the less fashionable clubs all season have been little short of criminal.

It's become painfully obvious this year that decisions don't even themselves out. In any other profession, someone as bad at their job as referees have collectively been this season would be close to the sack, surely?

Moyes would be a great appointment, given his record working with restricted resources. It will never happen though, he is a ''shoe in' for Newcastle, West Ham or Villa when (note, not if) either become available.
Our next appointment is a major, major decision for the future direction of the club, given the rebuild that is needed. IMO a safe, experienced pair of hands is required, we almost need (... I'm whispering it....) a Warnock type of character. Obviously not him, but someone in that mould who is experienced in getting teams promoted as I think we are all but down now. Malky seems to tick some of the boxes but will not IMO feel much of a progression from Hughton.
Given the past history of our Board of Directors, I think we all secretly fear they will cop out and give Neil Adams the job. A great guy no doubt, but not ready for such a position just yet.

Well the fat lady has finally sung. Let's hope the board make the right appointment. I don't want Neil Adams, nice bloke as he is. We had this problem when they appointed Bryan Gunn a few years ago and we all know how that ended. It's been great to have been in the Premiership and hopefully our stay in the Championship will be a brief one and we can get back up again at the first time of asking. OTBC!!!

O come on, if Sunderland loose the last match and we knock say 18 past the gunners, it's ok

Of course you are pleased- at least your ground will be full at least once next season wink. I'm sure we can take the spare 13,000 tickets you have for most home games biggrin .

The first thing for Ipswich to celebrate in 13 years eh wink Apart that is from your gun dealer / ticket tout* (*delete as applicable) owner buying the club leaving you completely debt free and investing multi-millions in the playing squad (.... yeah that's not gone well, has it? laugh ).

No, banter apart, the work starts here. I'd like to see Adams give a few of the Youth team lads a run out on Sunday (.... "go on lads, show us you're worth a squad place next year"), there is no point in playing the 'busted flushes' in Bassong, RvW, Fer etc.- they are the ones that got us in this bloody mess. A little bit of pride and enthusiasm might go someway to placating what could be a fickle crowd.

Then we need a managerial appointment made PDQ, to give whoever comes in a decent period of time to sort things out. Unfortunately our Board do not have a good record when it comes to making such decisions.
