More 'ecstatic' than pleased.
your gun dealer / ticket tout* (*delete as applicable) owner buying the club leaving you completely debt free and investing multi-millions in the playing squad (.... yeah that's not gone well, has it? ).What can't be denied is the lack of success his money has bought.
Anyway, look forward to the derby match regardless.
CVM is such a strange little man.
We deserve to go down this season, left it too late to get rid of Hughton and that erosion of a good squad that played good football had gone too far be reversed. Hopefully we make the right appointment because we have the basis of a very good team in the Championship and some talented youngsters.

The next appointment is critical, still, I believe NFC are well managed financially, so you'll have time to get it right in any case. No chance you'll be relegated again.dirty boy said:

Hopefully you are right, although I'm sure Wolves fans thought the same a few years back . BJG1 said:

It's strange how a competitive squad of players from two seasons ago slowly and progressively had the drive, enthusiasm and team spirit extracted from them. For Lambert they would 'run through brick walls', any opponent was fair game. By the end of Hughton's tenure, they were scared to even pass the ball to each other (or so it seemed at times ). Comparison is stark between us and Palace or Sunderland. It would be interesting to have been inside either club's set-ups in the last few weeks as Pulis and Poyet (and their back-up teams) obviously brought something to both club's squads, whatever it was, both sets of (... IMO quite frankly) average players upped their performances massively. Universal agreement on the derby matches next season I think- who knows they may even be competitive this time round . Come what may, I just hope we are in a position to consistently win matches whilst playing half decent football. As opposed to looking forward to grinding out a 0-0 with Stoke City as the limit of our ambition.

I hope we loan in Holt just for the 2 derby matches so he can smash a load of goals past them again and have them crying into their cousin/spouse's arms.
I'll tell you what - even an unfit and past-it Grant Holt would've scored more goals than those wasters we paid good money for in the close-season. Although, to be fair, I think Hooper might find the Championship to his liking in that respect - when all's said and done, that's about the standard of the SPL.Clarkey2110 said:
What a surprise, gone for the cheap option with Adams,, why delay the announcement if it's been him all along, surely he wasn't the stand out candidate. Another Bryan Gunn situation I reckon, McNally needs to resign he's just taking the piss
On the ITFC forums a lot of Town fans are celebrating this, i'm of the opinion wait and see. Adams could be the best manager Norwich have ever had for all you know, win the league and get you into Europe the next.
Far far too early to dismiss him.

Our next appointment is a major, major decision for the future direction of the club, given the rebuild that is needed. IMO a safe, experienced pair of hands is required...... Given the past history of our Board of Directors, I think we all secretly fear they will cop out and give Neil Adams the job. A great guy no doubt, but not ready for such a position just yet.
Oh crap! Ever wish you were wrong about something? . NA appears to be a fantastic coach, I'm not sure that translates to being an effective manager (.... see Brian Kidd and numerous other examples). How many Caretaker Managers have been appointed on a record of 1 point out of 15 (granted the opposition was pretty tough). I'm sorry Delia and Co, it does smack of the aforementioned 'cop out'.The concern now I suppose is the potential of an 'exodus' of the supposedly higher quality players (Ruddy, Snodgrass, Redmond etc) who may view the appointment as a lack of ambition to get back into the PL. And if they go, can we attract any decent replacements?
Still, look on the bright side. Over the years a few of our appointments have been underwhelming (e.g. Dave Stringer, Mike Walker) but did work out well in the end. And we have Hamilton and Roeder as proof that managerial experience doesn't always count as an advantage.

Agreed, Malky is not the way forward in my opinion. I really hope, if we do stay up, we don;t take the cheap option in sticking with Adams. We need someone with some experience and tactical nouse. Adams isn't ready for this yet IMO. I can't see Neil Lennon stepping down to a relegation battle from Champions league.
Funny how it all pans out, poor season for your lot, but hope you bounce back. From an ecstatic QPR fan
Only one game I know, but it's not looking good is it? One shot on target and a team set-up that 1) ignores any pace we have in the side (Redmond up front ) and 2) plays to the opposition's strengths (a narrow diamond when they have pacy wingers(s)). The Dutch lad destroyed what is suposed to be a PL defence.
With two tricky home agames coming up (...Watford vs our pedestrian defence is a worry), we could be bottom three even before Saturday 23rd when we can be sure the opposition will be up for it. Adams had better learn from his mistakes and do so very quickly.
