Also great to see Rodgers run straight into the fans when we scored the 3rd.

Thanks Allblackedup, very gracious.

thumbup

Sounds like your boys just didn't turn up tonight, although sounds like Federici had a good game.

Was Webb paid to avoid an all-welsh final? Were any of your penalty shouts decent?

Out of interest, How many were allocated in the end? 37000? Good luck!
36000 I thought.

Got mine early through season ticket friend - £52 so hopefully good seats!

Really? Pants.

Oh well, not the worst seats - I think you could get category 5 for £42.

^^ good stuff that. The mrs is swans trust member number three hundred and something, it's what got us the tickets before going on general sale. I used to love going to the Vetch and grabbing a pint in the Jack before the game, more so than the new place if I'm being honest.
The Vetch was a shocking ground....but what an atmosphere, what character, fantastic times.

Anyone want to recall their favorite Vetch moment?

Getting very very nervous about Monday now. The press keep bigging us up - I prefer bring underdog!

Trundle v Macclesfield, no question! Hilarious! North bank was going mental!

What an incredible player he was at his peak. Amazing to think he only started playing football professionally at 24. Top lad as well.

My favorite Vetch moment was a last minute penalty by Jan Molby in 1995/6 season. We eventually went down but that win gave us hope.

He was player manager at the time and the pressure was immense. So in the 94th minute he steps up and showed his pedigree. The place went mental.

More Trundle brilliance:

Note a lot of the footage is in the lower leagues - great to see Tate and Britton there!

Last piece is 'that' goal at the Millenium Stadium. What a talent.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of footy live but very few players I've seen pull off that kind of stuff on a regular basis. I mean, don't get me wrong he was no Messi, but at his level in L1 he may as well have been, the ball was glued to his feet and the opposition couldn't get near him.
He was also a tad selfish and when he was not firing, the Swans were not winning.

Would be great to see how he (at his peak) would fit in today in our passing system - he should never have left really but fair play for wanting a shot at the Championship.

Phew, just about recovered from an absolutely mind-blowing day at Wembley.

What a stadium, what an atmosphere, what a game! As Brendan said pre-match, the performance matters not, it's the result that counts.

Thankfully that was the case as the Swans were not at their best. Sinclair was largely anonymous and lost the ball on numerous occasions, but came away with a hat-trick!

Dyer was dangerous but his end-product was poor.

Rangel was awful, giving the ball away constantly and was done like a kipper by McAnuff.

Dobbie looked a yard off the pace, then suddenly BANG - a great assist and a cracking finish!

Still has not quite sunk in to be honest, the idea that I will be able to pick Dorus as my Times Fantasy Football goalkeeper hehe.

P.S. the rumour is that Borini has signed for Parma....why the hell would he want to do that?! Italy have just lost another ECL place and they finished 12th this season. We are in the Premier League for Pete's sake!

Am hoping the press are just using his disappearance to the Italy U21 squad as a foil for this untruth!!

Looks like De Vries is off to Wolves then. A big loss if you ask me - not just his keeping but his ability on the ball helping the way we build from the back.

Despite the windfall looks like we are still not able to offer the financial incentives other clubs are.

He is effectively given up a guaranteed starting spot in our team to sit on the bench at Wolves - can't see him starting over Hennessey.

Going to keep the Sunday Times article entitled "Swans out play Daglish damp squibs". So proud!

Our central midfield cost: effectively zero

Liverpool central midfield cost: £35m

Beggars belief.

No shame in losing 1 0 to one of the top teams in the world. We matched them mostly but as usual lacked that cutting edge in front of goal.

Onward and upwards!
