what a crap decision that penalty was. Hopefully 2 weeks will do them the world of good as illness/recovery looked to play a huge part in the 2nd half..
Don't be silly, Mike 'Prick' Dean was only 50 yards away. It was the obvious decision to make.More seriously, it was obvious to everyone that we are on are arses by 60 minutes plus Monk confirmed there was a sickness bug within the camp. A great effort to secure a precious point when Cardiff, Fulham and Norwich all lost.
The way we have been playing recently it is only a matter of time before a good result (and a little luck) comes our way.

Legend, what are your thoughts on Davies compared to Shaw?
Does Shaw get more limelight because he is English? or is he that much better than Davies
Rory Smith of the Times thinks we (LFC) should put a bid in for Davies in the summer ...

My opinion is they are both cracking potentials. I agree Davies goes under the radar more due to us being 'across the bridge' but I don't mind this at all!
I can't comment so much on Shaw as I have not seen him play much but Davies is an interesting player. He was largely un-tested at any level when thrown in at the deep-end as Neil Taylor broke his leg in out first season in the Prem. I think most fans hearts sunk when they saw this wet-behind-the-ears local lad attempt to fit in at Premiership level. Astonishgly he has made the LB position his own and pushed Taylor out the team, while also becoming a Wales regular. His weekly wage was £400 when he made his first-team debut!
He is pretty quick, strong, good in the air and tecnically sound (a pre-requisite playing for us as you know). I would say tactically and defensively he is still a little inexperienced / naive and we have seen a fair few goals coming from our left-hand side this season. I think other teams have begun to try and expose this weakness with some success.
The other string to his bow is he is excellent going forward - some have even been advocating he be played on the left-wing to accomodate Taylor at left back. Equally, some have suggested he is big and strong enough to play at CB.
He is a grounded lad and has basically come from being a fringe youth player to being our number one LB and mentioned in articles such as the one you refer to, in the space of one season. On that basis, who knows what he could go on to do.

Sounds like a lad with potential but not really something we can afford to spend money on.... A player like that is always better off playing 1st team than moving to a another club only to be on the bench each week....My opinion is they are both cracking potentials.
