Swans fans! When we win Monk is the best when we lose: hes terrible, poor tactics etc. Stand away from the panic alarm and have a think-yes last night we were poor, it happens to every team, yes we have a goal scoring issue, this won't be for ever, are we in a good position? Yes. We are in the top half, we have a good team with no major problems and aren't in a relegation fight. Hopefully we can knuckle down to some hard work and end the season on a high. Bring in some new players in the summer at non January inflated prices and happy days.
Oh and 2 weeks ago it was people moaning that we had lost our style and we were all defensive, last night we had 65% of the possession and it didn't work. Did people really think playing a pulis team away would be easy?

Went to watch Swansea under-21's take on my team, Yeovil Town, last night in our final pre-season friendly.
Not sure how many of them are near the first team without checking the squad numbers list but there's some future stars there. Mo Barrow looked dangerous all night, Henry Jones is an impressive attacker up top and in Josh Vickers, they have a top young goalkeeper. The Swans brought down Josh Sheehan and Stephen Kingsley to Huish park again, we had them on loan last season along with Liam Shephard who is injured.
Love the way they played through the thirds, refusing to hoof the ball long. Yeovil won 3-2 which was fair enough as we are a physically strong, tall team this season but if you're a Swans fan, the future looks pretty decent.

Thanks for the report GM.
Yes, we are finally beginning to see the fruits of our investment in the youth set-up - our previous approach was a complete failure with only Joe Allen and Ben Davies going on to become Premier League players coming through the ranks. We also tended to extend contracts for players who were never going to make it.
Mo Barrow got some game time last season - he came on against Arsenal, did Kieron Gibbs for pace and won a free kick that Sigurdson dispatched to begin our comeback and subsequent victory. He is raw but could be fantastic.
Josh Vickers came from Arsenal with coach Tony Roberts - highly thought of.
As a local boy, I really hope Henry Jones makes it - I think he just might.

700,000 for Botti
200,000 for Fulton
Thanks guys, that's nearly a million on players who struggled to get a start in a first division Scottish team, who will be at best a Scottish premier player.
Our youth recruitment history has been interesting at best...although Fulton has looked assured when he has been asked to step-up. You are clearly a feeder club for us. 200,000 for Fulton

Don't forget Stephen Kingsley - he a better prospect?

They at best would be a good championship player, or squad player in that league, never premiership.

They are all decent players, kingsley is the worse of the three id say. But the figures are ridiculous.

Fortunately we seem to offset our crummy youth purchases by pulling off value transfers elsewhere - Ayew, Gomis, Neil Taylor, Shelvey, Montero, Siggurdson etc etc. They at best would be a good championship player, or squad player in that league, never premiership.
Two weeks a dead thread. C'mon ... speak up you there in the white. You're playing Manchester Almighty today and odds of 13-5 are available for a not out of the question home win.
I'm having a few quid on them to add a touch of extra interest. The team in red still have a way to go in the improving stakes this season. There again they may bridge that gap today so always bet sensibly....and remember :~
