Great effort! Love both of these.
What's the lineartronic like to live with? Can you really have fun in it? [Askimg from a genuinely interested POV]

Back in 2006 I told my mum she didn't need a turbo Forester and she got a 2.0 N/A...I haven't made the same mistake this time.
She picks up this on Tuesday.

Thanks! CVT is much better than earlier versions that first appeared in the Legacy 2.5. There is still a bit of "thrum" but you soon learn how to get the best out of it. Better still in sports sharp mode you get 8 simulated gears with paddles so there is fun aplenty. Intelligent mode also learns your driving style i reckon so it's not as dull as previous versions and picks up well when you need it too. Overall very happy with the XT - great all round vehicle and is under valued by many just because it has a CVT. Don't believe everything you hear and take one out for a test drive.

Thanks for the summary. Definitely a contender for the future based on that. Will hopefully get a run out in my mums XT above soon.

I'll hold onto my 2.5XT for another couple of years then these should be around 4 years old and 10-12k mark. The wife and kids have a right grip on the ol' wallet!

It's lowered on Pedders kit, sports grille and Godspeed brakes.

Plans for remap and exhaust next summer and some summer wheels.
Looking good. Love the snow pic. I managed to get out last time we had some...

Had a bit of time today to give the Wagon's engine bay a much needed spruce up:
