Can we ask how much? It looks in decent shape. Is the one behind it yours?

Yeah the silver one is mine aswell.

I paid £2700 for the Type R, although it does need some TLC

Thanks Bones. I realised a few months ago that 'one car to do it all' wasn't what I wanted, so I've slowly collected my dream garage. 1.6 diesel Berlingo for the bikes (pcked up in September). MR2 roadster for my 10 minute commute (got this in July). Picking up my 996 GT3 on Monday (that sounds good to say out loud). I had plans of taking the STi to Ian L for the 355 BHP/Type 20 treatment, but my heart won out in the end.

When I only had space for one car then the STi was top of the list, and its been brilliant across the board.
One little flaw in my plan is that my GF has decided she loves my Toyota, and is selling her Puma. My everyday car will be the Citreon in the new year. This is going to take some getting used to, but I'm not expecting any sympathy!

Thanks Topbox.

Japanese import, 2.0 twin turbo, 280bhp, 5 speed manual 'box (although many are autos with 260bhp). It's probably a touch lower than the 280bhp on our fuel, though.

It was for sale but I'm almost convinced I'm keeping it now, although a couple of people have expressed interest if I do decide to sell. Trouble is, I'm not sure what I could replace it with for similar money or less that would do everything quite so well as this.

I can almost guarantee that that wont last long, you will be depressed at driving such rubbish most of the time and will have to buy something else.

I know, I know, but I need space for the bikes (I race MTB most weekends) and don't like having them on the roof/boot. Having run five cars for bits of this year I desperately need to consolidate the fleet, especially with the new arrival. We'll be down to 3 soon, but I admit there is a bit of a gap between Berlingo and GT3. Thank god I don't have kids yet!

Really clean looking car, completely standard?
More or less. Apart from the Sti wheels, clear lenses on the front and a de-res centre section and custom made back box,up-graded drop-links and rear ARB. No engine mods/re-maps,just regular servicing and oil changes and 102,000 miles later it runs faultlessly!

Nice packing!
I do a bit of everything but mostly race endurance xc i.e. four hours and up. Keep toying with the Mega, did the Passportes this year, but the rain has put me right off the Swiss Alps. Road trip to Molini next June for some Med/Sun/uplifts on my Custom Remedy. Can't wait.
Last day with my STi today. I'm really going to miss it frown

Four hours my-el you must have some decent fitness! I am hoping to get brushed up on my skills and start training in January. My only objective is to qualify for the main race and then enjoy the mass start etc.

Sure you will be back in one soon I got rid of my 997 turbo cab for my Impreza you just cant beat them. smile
