Very nice RESSE, I had thought about those wheels as they look awesome, but so many have similar so after something a bit different. White is an awesome colour

This thread lacks in old scoobys. I present to you my beat up 1988 Subaru MV pickup AKA Brat.

Currently being stripped down for the body shop and a full body respray.
Love that! What are you planning on doing to it? Tell me turbo lump, uprated brakes, susp etc.......

Thanks Paul smile

Choice of wheels is important I think and the Revolutions suit the GC8 Impreza so well.

As much as i would love to make this thing totally insane with turbos due to money being tight I'm just gonna restore it for now and hopefully have it ready for Japfest at CastleCombe, But due to it being a rare car finding parts even from main dealer is hard.

At the moment its being prepped for body shop to fix dents and rust holes and then hopefully a respray....In bright yellow. :P

Took my baby on holiday to Bruges with me. The Belgians weren't quite sure what to make of her!

How was the noise? I considered doing a bit of a jaunt through Europe but wasn't sure if my ears were up to it.

What exhaust have you got on yours?

I have an Afterburner Raptor with de-res centre section so while it is loud, it's not quite as loud as if I'd decatted it. I do a lot of motorway miles in mine (I know. The B roads are a joy after those) and it doesn't bother me in the slightest, I can drown it out. You could always plan it and take one of these in the boot http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info....

Just in case it does get too much. Quietens it down quite a lot.

I'm not sure of the make, but it's de-catted as well which doesn't help on long runs (although the pops and bangs on the twisties more than make up for it).

For £30 I might buy one and see if it makes a difference, cheers. Will need to measure the exhaust tip but 4.5" is about right I reckon.

If it doesn't say what it is on the side (Blitz Nur Spec R is what I'm thinking of at that kind of size) then it may be an Afteburner Raptor or Vortex like mine.

Does it have a "burnt" tip like this? http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/images/afterb...

Anyway, doesn't really matter. If you ain't got a whole in the tip, you may need to drill one..

Other than the big hole that lets the gases out of course biggrin

No burnt tip, no. I'll measure the diameter in the morning and see. I presume there's other sizes available elsewhere.

Does it affect the airflow enough to make the car run like crap?

First Impreza! Amazing car, UK2000 with stock exterior (minus exhaust) and a few engine mods:

I'm sure there is, yeah.

I've not heard any bad experiences apart from on track where anything above 80 or 90mph it starts to feel choked. But hey, unless you're going to Germany that ain't too much of an issue.

Ha, that's exactly where my friend lives wink
But it's certainly an option for long stints, cheers for the suggestion (and sorry for spamming).

Any more details? I don't know much about the legacys. Is that a gtb?
