I take it the red octopus is an earthing kit? Do you notice any difference by adding it?
Oh and lovely looking car
Thanks very much! Yes an earthing kit, bit of redness to match my silicone vac lines and I noticed brighter lights and slightly better starting from cold. Suppose the current to the ECU and sparks are cleaner too so every little helps Oh and lovely looking car
Thanks Hoonabator!
Although I don;t have a Subaru anymore, I used to be a complete Scoobyholic as follows -
First Subaru - MY96 UK Wagon
I then sold that with the aim not to buy a car to modify and ended up buying RB5 #190
However, best laid plans and all that and it got changed somewhat -
I was running 350bhp on a standard UK car when most people thought 300 was the limit - courtesy of an HKS 2835, also trialed Tek2 maps in conjunction with EVC5's without issue for 50,000 redline miles - car was amazing (my now ex-wife bought it off me and took it to a whole new level.....) I could probably write a book on what was done to this car, but there was very little RB5 left at the end, but what a car.....
Then this appeared -
22B #049 - this came with AP 6pots but it didn't stay in that spec for long (Coilovers, Simtek ECU, Exhaust, Interior and some custom made Braid wheels to mimic the WRC98 car) - at the time this was probably the most used 22B in the country as I used it as my daily driver for 3 years doing well over 10k a year in it + track days
And stickers removed -
I then got the urge for a 08STi Hatch and modified it to create this (fully forged engine, BRD remap, Magnaflow, Eibachs, Team Dynamics wheels, Recaro CS seats)
I then found time to also have these -
MY97 UK car (with Simtek ECU)- Wolf in sheeps clothing...lol
Subaru Tribeca -
They're all gone now but I have fond memories of them all (just not the amount I spent modifying them and the fuel they used....)
