Anyone tried fitting HT Auto's parts, are they fairly straight forward?

The Subaru OE spoiler looks best!

That is reminiscent of the S201 and i'm not a fan of that spoiler either. Halfords anyone?? hehe

Christ, that looks horrendous.... On balance I think the small lip spoiler looks best on the new car. The big one looks like an afterthought...

I think you need to see it in the flesh really.

Sorry, but it's just not good. I can see why it's shaped like that, to match the lines at the front, but I just don't like it...

whats wrong with the low small spoiler anyway? the large one although cooler is rather common and pretty useless unless youre a seroius track goer

I would rather see the tea tray off a newage Sti on that. Would look so much better than what Subaru have glued on there.

Having seen an STI in the flesh with the "larger" spoiler before I'd seen one without spoiler - IMO the car looks daft without one.

So I've now spoken to a few dealers and have a test drive lined up for the weekend.

There stil appears to be some murkyness surrounding the big spolier. One dealer is quite happy to supply the genuine wing, another was offering the HT Autos one, but when pushed said he could offer the genuine one if need be. Initially he mentioned 'Subaru' stipulated a new boot lid would also be needed before they would supply the spoiler to the dealership.

There was some talk about the whether the uk boot lid was thinner, the answer was 'I don't believe so'. So take what you want from that. I know some dealers are fitting and selling new cars with the genuine one, would they be doing that if there was an issue with the bootlid?

We have tons of tall spoilers here in the US. Check on Ebay. The 2002-2007 WRX and STI spoilers have different bolt patterns here, they can't be switched without swapping deck lids and springs, unless you want to fill and paint the mounting holes. The 2008-2012 spoilers all have the same bolt pattern whether they are the small/WRX units or the tall/STI unit. These are only US spec, I don't know if the UK spec are different. I hope this helps.
