Thinking of getting an Impreza WRX - what to look out for

I bought my own code reader and tested if last night when the light came on again. It's a P1410 so it's back to the garage.
BTW, one thing I didn't expect when i started looking for an impreza. I recently bought some knee boots and wondered why the left one was so much more snug than the right, so I got the tape measure out. My left calf is half an inch bigger and I can only put it down to the clutch!
