Remap wise I heard Engine Tuner in Plymouth are a good shout in Devon?... Sorry for the thread hijack Batty!
They do have a good reputation, yes. Rather worryingly, they are literally 5 minutes away from me. I have resisted so far...... hehe

I like the headlights, the standard blob eyes were not a good look on these!

I used Engine Tuner for a Scooby Clinic Billet turbo and to map accordingly, whilst it was there i had them fit a H & S exhaust.. Brilliant company and Martin know his stuff.

Took the old forester from a standard 167bhp to 284bhp can't remember the toque figure of the top of my head but massively improved, Although after the first attempt on the rollers the clutch decided enough was enough at 220! Took it back a few days later for the clutch to be replaced and finished of the mapping..

Would use again and again.

Ah Rollcage & Husky cheers for the feedback on Engine Tuner sounds like these are the fellas to go to in the Devonshire - thats quite a hike on your Forester Husky, must have felt like a rocket ship with that kind of upgrade!!

vsonix are you talking about the morrettes? I was never a fan of the bugeye looks wise when it first came out but as the years have gone by they've grown on me and I think they look pretty decent with the morrette conversion;

It has transformed the car to be fair, we decided to leave the rev limiter where it was and it was still pulling hard at 6200 so still had some more to go but the Forester hasn't got the same cams as the impreza so they are somewhat weaker so can't go too far with it with the standard internals.

It's only the dog car but I enjoy driving it just as much as the R32 down the lanes down here in rural Devon probably more so as i'm not scared to stick half the car in the hedge when the tourist come to town and st themselves if they go within 10ft of said hedges and take up both sides!

You won't go far wrong with Engine Tuner, they have some nice motors/race and rally in there to have a butchers at to

Yup it's still hilarious. Great car really, took me and my bikes to Combe, did a few 'parade' laps and took the bikes home.
All at warp factor 9. Shocks are coming...

Given trying to shift it? I have had mine up for a while as well, and not had anybody open the door on it! Not that I'm overly bothered - it's only for sale because I don't need as many cars as I have got!

Had a few offers. Nothing too insulting, but may have just bought some brand new HSD coilovers...
hehe

What's the poundage on those? I have been considering a set of coilovers for ages, but I don't want to wreck what little ride quality mine has. hehe

Replacing the standard shocks and springs with new shocks and a set of slightly lowered springs isn't really any cheaper than buying coilovers - but most sets I read about seem to be rock hard, which I don't want at all.

A bit hard, but i've done 50 miles so far. wound the dampers right back and its not much stiffer than before.

Thanks for the info. Mine is for sale still, mainly to stop myself spending colossal amounts of money on it!

If I can't get bites for a bag, then I'll undoubtedly end up doing just that.

Thanks chaps. Cherry picked the best vids hehe
On the softest damper setting it still under steered like a boat, but once tightened up it behaved much better. White line rear anti roll bar is the next port of call.
Then a remap. hehe

Try a little bit more negative camber and just a tad of negative toe-in up front, will make the turn-in just a little bit sharper and reduce understeer some more. Leave the rear end as it is with factory alignment as it generally sticks pretty well.

Think about either a bump steer mod or fitting ALK too. Then just a thicker rear ARB and thicker bushes should help loads with roll and again help reduce understeer.

Overall, stiffen up the rear and leave the front end slightly compliant which in my experience works well for road and trackdays.

Well the car has yet to be setup as I'm letting it settle. Do you have a decent setup that I could use when it goes it for alignment next week?
I've got the thicker rear bushes, just need the bar.
Car was running 0' everything.
