When that guy was selling the black 05 PPP, I went to have a look at it. The car had lots of wear on the seat and steering wheel which made me question the mileage but I would have let that go as it looked ok. What wasnt OK was the rear end smash it had been in; bent boot floor, bumper brackets...etc. Ive seen CAT D cars with the same damage but it was clear on the HPI.
My observations so far are:
1. The headlights are woeful. There has to be a way to fix this?
2. The clock isn't working, nor is the dash light dimmer. Presume these are either a fuse or just replacement units?
3. There is a dash light bulb blown. Thinking of doing the convert to red lighting.
Its also about to get some STI seats (I don't find the stock ones all that comfy). I'm also going to do a full brake pad and full fluid change for peace of mind.

Headlights were good on mine, certainly amongst the best non HID ones I've had. Blob eye? Perhaps a polish of the headlight plastic is in order?
The clock should "dim" with the dimmer switch on the left stalk, very disappointing. If it's not on it'll be a fuse like you said, I'd imagine.

The clock is a common problem. Really easy to fix, only took me about 15 minutes

My headlights are also ****.
Other than that, enjoy!

Ah ha! I tried last night and the headlight dimmer knob works, the lights go up and down. they're still crap though!
The dimmer stalk on the left also works (seem spointless if you ask me - award for most useless switch ever?) but clock still defunct, so will tackle that at some stage.
Got some almost new rear discs to fit. Thinking I might do all the pads as well. Any suggestions other than pagid blue?
