Zaim, get some pics up. I'm jealous already!

Only got the pictures from the advert. It's great to be back in an Impreza. Changed to a diesel from the last Impreza and neither my wife or I got on with it. To be fair it wasn't the diesels fault, it was the Impreza before it. The final nail in the coffin was when we went to Wales for the WRC and covered 900+ miles. In all the price difference between the diesel and similar trips we made in the previous Impreza was £60/70. For that money I'd rather enjoy what I drive. Diesel has it's place, it's in commercial vehicles, agricultural vehicles and trains.

Think I paid slightly over the odds for this one, but only because I paid so little for the last one. It's in good condition, came with a load of receipts and was serviced at Bell & Colvill. It requires a good clean on the inside and I'm doing the basics (i.e. brakes and suspension) before making some performance changes. Also got to get rid of that 'My First Tomy' Kenwood stereo. Noticed the 2.5 doesn't rumble as much as the 2.0 but the power delivery is much smoother and happy with the extra toys the SL brings.

Bumping an old topic but considering a Blob WRX PP wagon as my next daily. Anyone got one in the south east and thinking of selling?

Good luck. It does seem that going non PPP and then upgrading to essentially PPP spec might be the easier route. A genuine PPP appeals though as it's perfect for what I want and can sell on afterwards as a standard car which will have wider appeal. There's a lot of messed about with tat out there though.

Looking back through this thread prices seem to have firmed up and in fact are on the rise for these cars. Quite surprising really. Can't imagine there's many other mid 2000's cars doing that other than S2000s.

Agreed. Looking around, these things haven't got any cheaper since I got rid of mine.

Also agree on the ppp appeal, and the non-messed around with factor. I'd like another Impreza one day.

Have you bought one yet? I took a '53' WRX estate in px against my AMG I was selling. I planned to sell it straight away but I'm enjoying it a bit too much. For the right price i'd let it go!

Pics, condition, mileage, history etc. What's the spec and where are you located?

I'm not 100% sure I want to sell it just yet but drop me a PM? Its a standard looking car on 96k with a few sensible upgrades. Lots of history. silver with a black interior. I'm halfway between Reading and Basingstoke. Seems to be in good condition to me.

I've been toying with the idea of selling mine on for a while but very much waiting for the right Legacy to come along (I just want more room and more relaxed seats). I'd recently decided not to bother as it feels like the car will go from 70K to 120K as easily as I've taken it from 20K to 70K so it could just be a 'keeper'.

However, it's quite nice as an owner to see where the prices are sticking! There's one just sold at a dealer that's identical to mine without the prodrive pack that sold for £200 less than I paid 3 years ago for my car with 40,000 less on the clock.

There is a plus point to having a Prodrive if you're unsure of what to look at in a modified car (same goes if you're selling to someone) - unless it's an early bug eye, in which case the ppp wasn't all that cracking. If you start without one and add it in an 'unmolested' fashion, just make sure you go with a reputable mapper. If the name is good then IMO an advert with 'mapped by so and so of not-a-rubbish-mapper' will go a long way.

Mine started off as a Prodrive and actually made 260 on the rollers. I then had the pre turbo cat removed (imagine that breaking up and ending up in the turbo) and put a 200 cell Prodrive primary cat on. A remap later took it to 280ish and added 3mpg.

I also have an old bug as a tinker toy. When I purchased that a previous owner had added the PPP components (back box, centre section and two silicone pipes) but not had a map. I did the mapping myself on that and brought it up to 250bhp. Took £7 of eBay OBDCII cable wink

I'm a chronic car changer, so I actually spent quite a bit on a paint correction, detail, interior clean up and protection so I could pretend I had a new car wink

Lovely car but I'm just not buying its any beeter than an impreza other than the wagon practicality. If you want an STi but need the extra space I can very much see the appeal but I have never been in a standard impreza with poor ride quality and thought I'd like to be sat higher.

It's different to an Impreza, and does most of what that car will do. The plus's the Forester has is it has refinement. It's a 'better' all-round package

STi did a brilliant job on the tweaking - suspension, gearbox, brakes wheels etc. Ride quality is similar. Not sure what you mean by that

It's absolutely a Subaru through and through

If I want a tarmac screamer experience, I take the Type R Impreza out smile
