I have a standard WRX wagon from 2003 which I had dyno'd last year and it was producing 239bhp at the wheels running on VPower. Serviced regularly at RCM in Hinckley and goes really well. It's not far off claimed figure for PPP, so PPP may give more than claimed too. Get a good one and you'll love it!

Yes I have thanks. It's just had head gasket work. I'm not sure if that's good or bad! The mileage also puts me off a bit. I decided I'd rather spend more money and get something a year or two newer and with less miles. Tempting though.

Thanks for pointing it out. Have you any opinions on it?

I knew my wagon would be worth a few bob one day if i held on to it. biggrin

Mind you, i've had it very nearly 8yrs and i'd be loathed to part with it i think. Not to mention it's not exactly standard and has been my development vehicle for over 7yrs.

The current demand for WRX wagons could potentially have the effect of pushing prices up slightly if there is enough of a demand and not sufficient availability.

Hold on to your wagons!! driving

I'm patient. I'm also off work from Friday which should give me some time to go looking.

I think they've fetched a premium for quite some time now

I agree. From my searches they do look to be generally more expensive.

I'm off work from Friday so hoping to have some time to go and look at 2 I have my eye on. Got to get the puncture on my motorbike fixed first though!

I was thinking of selling mine, 55 plate, getting an STI. But I have a good one, and like others, afraid to let it go incase I regret it. Just spent 1k on it anyway, remap, zorst and some shocks and springs, discs, so would be silly to get rid. Would be a nice thought for the prices to appreciate, especially for the low milers.

Not sure if this is a repost but spotted this WRX Wagon... (sorry for hijack!) it's really tempting me over an ST220 I was going to look at this weekend... whats the price like for this mileage / spec? I see it's got PPP - I'm not desperate for one with the PPP as I'd happily do the mods myself but I guess if it's already got it then it's not a bad thing!

It's about £1000-£1500 over priced. That's the dealers margin. Look for the same but private sale. PPP is fine but try and find an unmolested car with lower mileage and pay for your own mods which will give improved results over PPP.

Yeah, that wagon is well overpriced for the miles too.

I sold my well sorted STi wagon with under 60K miles for £5K

Top stuff chaps - figured that might be the case!

I definitely feel better getting one unmolested and doing the mods myself - better gains for less money than the marking up of a PPP equipped one.

The search continues... SL would be nice for the heated leather and sunroof, but as you say, it's finding one... probably not the best time of year either being 5 days before Xmas!!

Quite a few people after them, so 3.5k I'd guess. Maybe more in good condition.
