I think the only ones reporting no power steering at all were BD/BG rather than BE/BH Legacies.

Mine doesn't seem to have that box at all though as far as I can see so maybe they got rid of it with the Rev-D.

spin How spooky, I only came to this section of the forum as I was looking at your car on Ebay and wanted to do some reading round on GTB's as I'm getting itchy feet. After replacing my 260bhp MX5 with a Civic 1.6 Auto frown for family reasons I've started looking at fast 4 seaters. Great looking car.
Hehe, that is a coincidence isn't it. Well I would thoroughly recommend a GTB if you're still tempted. I don't even really need the space, I just prefer the estate to look at and it's useful to have on the odd occasion. It did help when moving house recently, it's cavernous with the seats down.

I think I will stay clear of disconnecting the power steering plug. Its not as straight forward as it seems after reading the thread.
Some report no power steering, so heavy steering. One extreme to the other!
Yeah, I read all about it before unplugging it. I think I was just used to much heavier steering and the Legacy's did seem very light at first. With mine unplugged it definitely still felt assisted, possibly halfway between full assistance and none at all.

With it now plugged back in, it actually doesn't feel as light as I remember it being, and I quite like it.
