the data protection comment is just wrong. DPA 1998 protects "personal data" i.e. data from which a particular person can be identified. Asking if a car with reg number is a car that litchfield converted or not doesn't come within that.

All I'll say is that I was a genuine buyer who was not only asking for details about a car, but someone who was also asking to be kept in mind if another car came up and one keen to use Litchfield for a pre-purchase inspection or servicing. ignoring me means I'll use him for none, and let others know I was ignored. If you know him personally, maybe suggest that he puts something on his website to say what he is prepared to be contacted about and what he's not. That way everyone knows where they stand.

Sorry I'm not wrong most cars are well over 10 year old most have private registration plates so how the @@@@ as late amyone able to trace anything

Sorry only type 25's had made limited editions so traceable through by that limited number. type20's were not traced

So if you asked to trace a history of a ten year old TVR why the @@@@ would anyone do that.

I think the car in question had some sort of history, perhaps a engine rebuild or something. If it's the same car all the work was carried out at Litchfields so it should be ok.

If you struggle to find one I sold one and can ask the buyer if you want to sell.
