The standard brakes on my Hawkeye WRX don't inspire massive confidence - no great bite or feel (coming from a Clio 182 on Brembos that stopped so quickly in traffic it was rear ended and killed) with seemingly alot of dead pedal travel before any stopping happens.

The pads are due to be replaced, so what are the best fast road pads and where can I get them? I have seen Ferodo DS2500s spoken highly of - anything better?

Performance Friction pads and stainless steel braided brake hoses by HEL or Goodridge all round, and decent brake fluid either DOT5.1 or a decent DOT4 like RBF660 from Motul.

Cheers chaps, will give PF a look - any decent retailers recommended?

As for discs, my friendly mech reckons they are good for another set of pads, so will look to replace them later.
