Hi,

My brother's factory exhaust has holded on his 2005 Forester, and it's been suggested to go Stainless Steel, which I think is a good idea.

He would be looking for a near factory sound, nothing too intense. It's an NA so a big bore would be useless I'm assuming.

Does anyone know of a good place to start looking?

Cheers

Get a custom Powerflow one made. I have one on the XT and it's quiet enough and looks superb.

Cheaper and better quality than the vast majority of them. Or call up Slowboy Racing and see what he can supply/suggest.

Hayward & Scott's website might be a good place to start.

Definitely Hayward and Scott.

I had one of their now famous complete systems on my Impreza back in 2001. perfect quality in every way.

They also make a back box specifically designed for the Forester. all the other pipes are shared with the impreza, so you can fit someone else sports cat downpipe, or centre if the cost is an issue.

I have opne of their backboxes on my 2006 Xten. Bought second hand in 2009 and still going strong, with no nasty cheap stainless marks.

Is it as quiet as the original? Mine is looking rusty - I'd like a quiet replacement when it finally does go.
