Hi all,

My daily drive is a 1997 Forester S/tb (Japanese import).
I recently had exhaust trouble with it, in that some parts of the exhaust had rusted through and needed replacing. I was finding trouble obtaining any replacement exhaust parts, especially since I was on a very tight budget. (I was quoted over £500 for just one part!!) The advice I had from a few quarters was that the Euro spec Forester exhaust would fit my Jap import. I bought said Euro spec exhausts, (back box and next bit along) but, just my luck, they did not fit...wrong diameter...far too small. I eventually managed to get it all sorted....Got a local garage to fit a straight bit of exhaust...so lost the resonator...and weld the back box. The garage also discovered a few other issues with the front parts, but they were welded also.
So having gone through all that annoyance and slight mis-information I am a bit wary. But i find myself with another issue (such is my luck).
I need new rear discs.
So what are the best discs to fit...again bearing in mind I am on an even tighter budget....and apologies if it seems like a dumb question. (Currently seeing discs on ebay for about £50 for 2....)
Also, one other question....are the S/tb Foresters prone to leaky radiators? Mine seems to run dry..always putting water in, but cant see any sign of a leak from the rad....but never overheats...
I really appreciate any help anyone can give.....Thank you very much!!smile

(Does anyone want or need 2 brand new exhaust parts...will fit a 1997 Forester?....going cheap?...Bought for £123 for the 2 parts...will sell for £80?????)

Hello

Can't see why the exhaust bits wouldn't fit, unless they were for a non-turbo?

Try popping them on the Europe bit of the Forester Board http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f75/
