I've been trying to change the discs and pads on my 2005 wrx, but have struggled to remove the pins on one calliper. Any tips on removing them at all please?

I've got a new set to replace them.

i used a small drift , slightly smaller than the pin , and a hammer , be carefull not to flatten and open up the pin so it ends up larger than the hole !

I used a parallel punch in the end to get them out, but one of the pins is a looser fit then the others now, I guess the hole must have opened up whn the old pin got knocked out. Any recommendations on what to do with that? The R-clip is retaining both pins in place at the moment.

Does the Blobeye have the thinner pins that hold the main pin in? don't forget to take that out smile

Did this on my 2006 STi a few weeks ago. One of my pins was a bh too!

I got a pack of cheap centre punches from B&Q (do a search of their site for this p/n 0000005264292).

Bit of wd40 very carefully used on the pin. I had about 1cm of play, so I knocked it back and forth with the punch. At the other end a pair of good pliers to pull it out. Took 15 mins, but got it out in the end!
