A friend of mine at work is looking to buy a bug eyed Sti and asked where is best to start learing about them, find buyibg guides etc so I thought I'd ask here?

Where do the nerds congregate?

(also obviously if you own a nice bug eyed sti and you are looking to sell now is your chance to post a link to adds)

Not sure if serious or for lulz...

Scoobynet can be useful, if you manage to wade past the bull5hit and regular members that post bo11ocks for laughs...

the crap to useful info ratio is not good.

Scoobynet was fine for me! For sure there are clueless chavs on there as well but for sheer numbers of users its got to be the best. NASIOC is also great.

Type-RA.co.uk was always good for the more special versions. Heaps of info on clubsub.org.nz as well.

Really all depends on what info your after. your either inundated with info that's OTT or utter BS or have no replies at all.

The hard job is how you decide what is Plain rubbish and what's a Bloke with a PH Science degree telling you how to pump a Tyre up with a Dylithium crytal modulator. frown To be Honest this will all depend on the Knowledge you have and need.

I find that the "Owners" Clubs are generally very good like

wwww.sidc.co.uk

http://www.p1woc.co.uk/forums/index.php

http://bbs.22b.com/forums/forum.php

and there are many more out there biggrin All of these are vary varied or very specialised wink with tends to focus the knowledge but are sometimes under used wink

These have many more subscribers but many more trolls
.

if you dare wink LOL

So do you go for a forum and ask a question that has

A) NO replies,
B) 10 replies 2 two that's helpful 2 think they are helping and 6 bull@@@@ters
C) 100 replies 15 two that's helpful 20 think they are helping and 75 bull@@@@ters
D) 15 replies that say your brain dead and should be back at school taking your 11+
E) 20 replies because they'd want to sell you their cast off's

Or do you use the internet Doctor and go to a Pharmancy and choose your own pills or do you go to the doctors?

find somewhere you trust and like wink

IMHO
