I had an interesting read through the other DCCD thread today. Purely out of curiosity, how involved would a DCCD conversion be on a GC8?

I imagine it would have to require a gearbox change, probably a new clutch while you're there. Would the rear diff need to be swopped too? There is probably a dash readout, so clock-swop would be needed, along with setting up the cabin switches.

It would be a fantastic thing to do; probably easier and cheaper though to just buy and run an STi with it factory fitted.

I've enjoyed musing about it for the evening anyway smile

Lots have been done. You can keep the rear diff if you get the prop modified.

Sycecs ecu can control the gearbox but you can also buy aftermarket controllers.

There's a chap on p1woc who has a DCCD-a box fitted, no idea how he controls the box though!
