If your fitting the rear Brembo calipers, your best off going for the Godspeed rear disk conversion, I tried the modified brake shoes on my WRX Bugeye years ago and, unless they have been changed, was forever adjusting the handbrake.

Front Brembo's make a big difference, especially if your using the car on track.

I did the full brembo conversion a number of years ago on my hawkeye WRX and the set i had were neally new off a hawkeye sti so with the 114pcd. As they were so new i wanted to use the discs so the way around this is to have the discs drilled to the correct pcd for the WRX then they go straight on.

I have replaced the discs since with new ones for the 2004 Sti and again they are a simple replacement without issue.

The handbrake shoes are inside the rear disc like a small drum brake. The WRX has a smaller drum section on the disc so the pads are set closer to the centre of the hub. When the Sti disc is over the standard WRX brake shoes they do not reach out far enough to touch the inside of the drum. Godspeed have 2 options, a WRX brake shoe with a double thick contact area so it reaches the inside of the drum or an Sti disc with an insert inside the drum section to bring the drum surface closer to the standard WRX brake shoes.

I currently have the thicker shoes but they are expensive and i found that they are prone to disintigrate so my advice would be to go for the rear discs with the thicker insert as its cheaper and more reliable in the long run.

Any of the brembos will fit your car, its just the discs you need to get right.

Hope that helps;)
