Cheap 2000 Turbo, such a thing exist?

I'm after a shed to smoke about in for a few months as i'm awaiting news of a move abroad and could do with freeing up some cash from my 530. Have had my eye on classic impreza's for ages now and i'm sure 6 months ago there were loads of classic turbo 2000's around for £1000-1500. looking now there is 1, which I enquired about but has sold less than 24hrs later.

Classic would suit my needs of interesting, fun and cheap. Can be tatty bodywork wise but needs to be reliable. Ebay/c&c/PH and Gumtree have been scoured in the last 24hrs. Any help would be appreciated!

If it's temporary then you likely don't need hassle of unreliability which can always come with a cheap new car. I'd be keeping the 530 or go for something less prone to failure.
