Pretty sure a V2 (pre-facelift) wouldn't have had the 2.25 turns quick rack which was specific to the later R/RA Ltd models and the 22b. It would have the 2.5 turn rack, while regular WRX and UK models made do with 2.75 turns.
Not sure how the turns lock to lock equate, but the data I've seen (which also agrees with the stuff on Type-ra.co.uk) quotes a 15:1 rack for most of them and a 13:1 quickrack being standard in the ver6 Sti-RA and optional for earlier STi-RA (incl the v2). That particular v2 was a V-ltd (the one with the McRae/Ringer autograph seats etc) so I expect it was top spec with all the optional goodies. It had the little STi quickrack sticker in the corner of the rear screen, but I'm well aware that stickers don't mean that much!
ETA: Found a thread on 22b that says 15:1 is 2.5 turns and 13:1 is 2.25. Also says:

Classic Sti 4 door has the same rack as a UK at 2.7 lock to lock
Sti Type R and Sti RA mostly have 2.5 lock to lock racks
22b, Sti 5/6 RA Limited and special order Sti's have 2.25 lock to lock

Seriously considering selling mine later in the year. M.O.T. will be due June but as always it will be booked in to Roger Clark Motorsport for its service and M.O.T. in May, then its off to the Ring (not in the 'B') and upon return, will probably look in to placing it up for a new owner.......
a quick heads up and couple of tempters for anyone looking for one

Pieman that is beautiful! How many miles? How come you're selling? How long have you owned it?
Thanks....... It certainly is (IMHO) a cracking example.Mileage is a little over 26.5k and i've had the pleasure of owning for 3years now, with 6 services at Roger Clark Motorsport within my ownership (soon to be 7 with M.O.T. in May)
reason for selling? I must be mad! (or so everyone who i've mentioned the possibilty of selling has told me! )
Basically the recent loss of a friend to cancer at 41years of age has prompted me to work through a bucket list of cars, i'm also on Subaru's 8 & 9 with the 22B and a Forester STi, so the Subaru boxes have been well and truely ticked...............the next cars will need to be very special to compare to the 'B' but i'm hoping that the searching, sourcing, purchasing and enjoying of a few 'specials' will keep me entertained for a few years to come............ who knows whats round the corner.
Currently looking at 1972 Nissan GT-R's.........
Congratulations that's a lovely looking car , I contacted Pieman looks like I was too late .
That would have looked great between my Evo6 and Nsx
If you decide to sell , let me know .
Contemplating looking at the UK one in the classifieds but its higher mileage and more owners than I would prefer really .
I may have to go back to looking at Evo Gralle's

I could not have hoped to buy a better 22B, it really is as new and a fantastic drive when you push on. Quick rack steering is sensational compared to modern high performance cars, so much feel and the car changes direction like nothing else I have had.
If you cannot find a good 22B (Pieman knows most of the cars in the UK so can give you the inside track on any you come across) then I Recommend the Evo 2, fantastic cars. I bought mine from Walkers in N Yorks who are excellent to deal with and know Evos inside out.
Let's see some pictures of the NSX and Evo, am a big fan of both!

Quickracks were optioned from the first STi Type RA (MY95).
It's a minefield. But we are getting there
