As soon as they are "used" they lose the vat, 20% gone in a signature!

Anyone know if you can fit a tow bar to these?

The manual says no to a tow bar, but could just be down to the way the exhaust is set out.

I'm not sure that you understand how tax works... hehe

Residuals will likely be very high though, the prices of newage WRX's and sti's seems to be going up at the moment.

You think an 8-month old car selling for £25k when it was £32k new is good residual value?

You don't calculate residuals after 8 months though... More like 3 years. Unless you're an idiot and sell a brand new car after no time at all.

Subarus have always has good residuals compare to other manufactures.

Fair enough!

The reason I asked about the towbar was that my rs6 can't be fitted with one and its a PITA using roofbar bike carriers. Shame the STi can't have one fitted either.

Just ordered one with a 1st March delivery so can't wait. Interested in knowing how those who got the remap done have found it , any issues etc . As I'm contemplating it at the moment so others views are greatly appreciated.

I'll be looking at getting the remap in the future. When I ordered mine from Mangoletsi, John took me out in the 340, pretty good. He said someone had come back after 6 months to get it done and said it was like a new car.
So, another new car after a few months, sounds good to me. Am currently saving a bit towards it, but think I would prefer some gold/different wheels first, as the standard ones are a pain in the bum to clean.

Bet you can't wait for March to come. Short waiting time, I ordered mine end of September for a mid January delivery. Managed to get one the end of November for some reason - didn't complain.

Ditto regarding the 1st March arrival date. I'm so excited!!!

I've also gone for the Subaru sports performance exhaust option and am aiming to keep it 'standard' for the first three years at least.

Wish I'd gone for the sports exhaust, it did sound amazing on the 340, even more subaruy. Think it is included in the 340 pack though, so looking at that in the next year I reckon.

I love the car so much, brilliant to drive, and so fun!!

Think I might have to save abit towards this, and also see if I can try one so to compare back to back. Either way can't wait and the 1st can't come soon enough .

Any remapping voids the 3yr/60000mile warranty. Sports exhaust doesn't.

Thanks for this info as don't want to loose the warranty.

If Mangoletsi do it, the warranty is valid.

Could someone with a 2015MY please do me a favour; can you measure the steering wheel diameter (largest part) and report back?!

Thanks smile

Assume that any other work will have to be done by them.

Assume so, as nothing was mentioned about it from the first dealer I went to - although they didn't seem to know much about the car full stop.

Not the Subaru backed Warranty. I understand that it may well have a 'warranty', but you might have to carefully study the T&C's. I've seen the internal memo's on the matter, and it is quite unoquivical. Any fiddling with the mapping will void the Subaru UK Warranty, period.

I seem to remember Mangoletsi also offered 5-year warranty on the STi which elsewhere is only available on other Subarus - which suggests that it is a different warranty being offered by Mangoletsi
