Impreza STi idling problem

Hi guys.

Purchased an import Version 5 STi the weekend. I have noticed that when the engine is warm and idling it shudders and vibrates a bit. It also cut out on me at a junction whilst I was pulling away and had to coast to the side of the road.

It started fine after switching the engine off and back on, and has not happened since.

Now I'm guessing this could be down to either MAF or fuel filter issues possibly? The previous owner fitted a HKS SSQ blow of valve and oiled HKS air intake to the car. Neither do the car any favours I am told.

Will the ECU have logged any fault codes in regard to cutting out?

V5 I would buy a brand new genuine maf sensor from subaru, uk maf is the same. Common issue with symthoms you describe and on boost runs lean andcan damage the engine
