Got an import wrx if I put a high flow panel filter Walbro 255 fuel pump and a decent front mount intercooler what reliable performance could i expect from a remap thanks for looking

You cannot remap the standard ecu on those, you will need an ESL board and map.

I can't remember which injectors they fitted to to the 96, think they were 380's in which case your looking at around 300bhp assumning its on a TDO5

Really ? It's an import which i believe is 270 as standard may be wrong though and it is on a td05 would that only add 30bhp and is that because the injectors hold it back ?

265bhp standard . The turbo will prob do 340 to 350, it's the injectors that will hold you back .

Oh and when you turn up the boost you will prob also require a set of coil packs

I've changed coil pack for newer one from bug eye so if i uprated injectors would there be much gain on that 300 just a lot of money for not much extra thanks for replies

Go for a new age STI Top Mount Intercooler instead, FMIC seems a waste at that power level

If you get larger injectors and are able to go over 320 then I'd also add its worth considering your clutch and gearbox!

I've got a classic and think I will probably go for a 6 speed shortly along with a upgraded clutch.

Yes Got a excedy clutch hasn't been in long do you know how much Power before 6 speed is needed only have 5 speed

When 3rd gear falls off the shaft , it's time for a new gearbox

Yeah so do I, unfortunately my (3 year old) uprated Exedy clutch couldn't take the grunt nor has the gearbox and I'm very mechanically sympathetic. It's worth pointing out the previous owner changed the clutch so I don't know if they treated it with respect. The gearbox has been stripped due to the known issue of it jumping from 5th gear and although that problem was resolved I don't think its going to last long as it has in the words of my mechanic 'various issues' although the worst is it sometimes doesn't want to go into reverse (its always done that but its become worse over the past 6 months).

I hope you have more luck than I have!
