Well, after two warm up laps yesterday in my 2005 sti at knockhill i got a massive vibration on the brakes going into duffis for the first hot lap, went back to pits to find that the discs are warped. Anyway managed to complete the trackday by braking early with many cool laps.

Im looking at replacing the front and rear discs and pads, the car is used at the weekend and hopefully for 1 trackday a month over the summer. Found this disc and pad package http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/impreza-2001-2008-...
and wondered if anyone had heard/used it before?

Hi I have a 05 STi running godspeed discs front and rear with the kelver pads, and am very pleased with them for a fast road set up, but track days they recommend using a harder pad so yes the ones you picked should be just the job. I also upgraded my brake hoses at the same time to braided ones which gives better pedal feel.

The reviews im getting is that they are good for fast road use but poor for track use. Considering brembo discs and pf pads

are you sure the discs are warped;
i remember a conversation with a very well know brake disc manufacturer a few years ago stating that discs on performance car rarely if ever warp;
they have irregular pad deposits which feel like what youd expect warping to feel like;
can be a bugger to remove - skimming may be the only way;
not really helping much here anyway smile
what was the pad / disc combination ?

See red's post above.

Five minutes with a dial guage will tell you if the discs are warped. They can be skimmed on the car for about £60. http://www.skimmydiscs.co.uk/
