Evening guys, I finally got round to popping into a well known auto factors today (doesn't matter which, I'm sure), I asked for OEM standard parts for my '05 Legacy. He took the reg number and said he had it all in, I was only after air and oil filters and a sump plug washer.

He gave a price which seemed very low (like, crazy low compared to similar purchases for other cars) and went and got the bits. The brand name is Blue Print which I haven't heard of before.

Now, there are two questions here which I hope you can help with.

First, has anyone heard of Blue Print and what sort of reputation do they have? Their website says what you'd expect so I need some objective comments.

Second point, and this is where I feel I may have been taken for a chump; I asked for a sump plug washer and he came back with a blister pack with a washer and a new sump plug! Really??

I haven't used this auto factor before and depending on your answers I may not use them again.

Let's hear it guys.
Ta.

Yes, I think Blueprint is a reputable brand. I've used some of their products on my Outback and have nothing negative to report.

Blueprint's decent stuff, certainly one of the better factor suppliers. I've used their oil filters for a combined quarter million miles on my cars and not had any issues at all.

Thank you both, that's reassured me a bit!

Yep, used Blueprint a few times with no issues. Seems a good mid price brand.

As for the new sump plug. If it didn't cost too much then why not. Better than an old one rounding off or not sealing.
