flat spot help

Any suggestions on what a big flat spot in first only is? It's fine if you blip the throttle in neutral and through all the other gears any replies much appreciated

Only in first gear?

What year? Would newer cars have traction control cutting in or torque limiting to protect the gearbox?

It's a 96 import shouldn't have any of that and only in first can't work it out thanks for your reply
