Hi all,
1st post and looking for guidance.
I'm looking for a Subaru wagon as a daily runaround and have spotted a 2000 turbo and 2004 WRX, both apparently standard.
Both have similar mileage (100k) and 2/3 owners.
Any pros/cons to look for on both?
The car will compliment my TVR Tuscan and Alpina Biturbo and I reckon have a scooby wagon is understated coolness.
Thanks
Jay

I have a WRX wagon SL 2005, it's a great car once it has had some work, but to be fair it's very average with out the upgrades eg.

- rear anti roll bar change
- rear shocks changes
- lowered 35mm
- Re mapped
- new air filter
- sports cat
- new pads and brake hoses.

If you do not want it for a fast run around I would buy a Passat DTi as you have the other car to put a smile on your face.

If you want to do the work above you will have a cracking car, that will never let you down!

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the reply.
The criteria is dog carrier, 4WD as live in the sticks, understated but still fun to drive. I hate SUV's and can't find a cheap land rover defender.
A standard scooby that both I and the GF can drive I all I'm looking for.
I'm looking at 2 tomorrow, so hopefully that will help me make my mind up.

I have a 2005 WRX. Mines on LPG, and I live in the Welsh Borders. I'd recommend getting a second set of wheels and fitting them with winter tyres.
