As another former owner of this car (hello Arthur) I feel qualified to comment

The Eibachs were okay for coilovers as you say but no match (on the road) for a decent shock/spring setup.

Rear diff is the plated item that came standard on the MY04 Spec C and optional on the regular MY04 JDM STi which otherwise came with a Suretrac version.

Blimey, they're all coming out on this car (it is an exceptional car it has to be said - yet again ).

The Eibach's were Superstreet's IIRC. When I took ownership the car was set-up horribly. Far too low and geometry pointing all over the place

Once the car was raised to a decent level, a few Whiteline goodies added, the car handled well

I prefer a fixed perch damper and spring over a mediocre coilover and will only have to imagine how much better the car performs with them
