Hi,

Has anybody got the recommended geometry settings for a blobeye STi fitted with Prodrive springs.

These are different from standard settings apparently; I've googled but found umpteen different opinions as to what they are.

Any ideas?

Prodrive geometry settings have nothing to do with the springs (which were eibach if i remember correctly) but you can have them done on your car, it will probably give you greater tyre wear and they should be available on scoobynet somewhere, may take you some time to search for them frown

Aah, that makes sense - I've had the alignment done recently but they've set to standard settings and lost the readout I gave them with the Prodrive settings on.

Turn-in was vastly better compared to now - I did look at scoobynet but found numerous suggestions, and even Mike Wood's advice was less than clear.

It's the impossible search, everyone claims to have some sort of geo setup be it prodrive or something else but no one is willing to give any real details. Does make you wonder why at times?

From Simon Lines @ Prodrive :

Originally I used to recommend the same settings that we use in the UK,

For a DCCD-A car: -

Front Camber (make sure it's equal side to side)

Minimum -1° 10’ Preferred -1° 15’ "Track" -1° 20’ / -1° 30’

Front Toe-in (Total) Minimum 0° 02’ Preferred 0° 06’ Maximum 0° 10’

Front Caster Standard Subaru (more is good)

Rear Camber Standard Subaru (make equal side to side if at all possible)

Rear Toe-in (Total) Minimum 0° 06’ Preferred 0° 10’ Maximum 0° 14’

Thrust angle Minimum -0° 01’ Preferred 0° 00’ Maximum 0° 01’

Non DCCD-A car is the same accept: -

Front Toe-in (Total) Minimum 0° 00’ Preferred 0° 01’ Maximum 0° 03’

Rear Toe-in (Total) Minimum 0° 02’ Preferred 0° 6’ Maximum 0° 10’

These settings do fall into the stock Subaru "envelope" hence the recommendation that you "use stock settings" they are also conservative settings that are designed not to cause to much tire wear.

However, these are UK based setting's and they will reduce understeer, so in effect making the car more suited to a competent driver. They are NOT mine or Prodrive's recommendation for use in the USA

The following is the UK (United Kingdom) Fitting Procedure for the WR Sport Spring Package WRX03

1. Remove the front and rear struts and fit the road springs and re-assemble as per the workshop manual.

Note - Use of the official Subaru workshop manual!

2. The tyre pressures and suspension geometry MUST be set correctly to achieve the full benefit of the spring package. It is also important to settle the suspension so the geometry is set at the correct ride height.

a) Set the tyre pressures to:

Front 2.3 bar (33 psi)
Rear 2.2 bar (32 psi)

b) Settle the suspension by driving a few miles on the road.

c) Set the geometry to the prodrive settings

(as reproduced above)

3. Check the headlight alignment and reset if necessary as per the workshop manual.

Again this is the UK version and in no way a recomendation as to what you should be doing in the USA

^ Good advise

Have a read through this too

http://www.scoobynet.com/suspension-12/918196-geom...

Summary (don't sweat 'Prodrive settings' decide what you want) is on std dampers max out camber front and rear and a little toe-in all round for fast road/hooning/occ track
