its the bugeye wagon. they do them.

IMO, they don't look a patch on the classic wagon, but like I say, just my opinion. kind of got it back together with the blobeye ones.

they are out there, you looking for a JDM one ? there is one that comes to 3 Sisters on the track attack days ( just parked, not on track ).

I had a New Age STi wagon. It had Impreza front wings and wider track (to 'fill' the arches) plus a few suspension goodies, decatted and mapped to 320. The standard STi wagon looks a little dull tbh

It never really inspired though. It needed a quicker steering rack to speed everything up

I have a Forester STi now - a very different car, and the much superior

JDM only and limited numbers as said. Don't know why they stopped making STi Wagons - all the STi parts bolt on, so nothing unique to the vehicle and all made on the same production line. I guess maybe they had just released the Forester STi and didn't think they needed 2 vehicles competing in the same market? Shame, as I'm sure they would have sold plenty.

Oddly though the Wagon STi is not a straight copy of the saloon. For example, they didn't come with Brembo brakes and hence only WRX wheels. No blistered arches. ARB's different as well I think. So it's "less" car than a saloon STi but obviously a lot rarer. So pricing is tricky. I have considered one in the past but with so few in the country, you may only see one for sale every 3/4 months (including the occasional import), I gave up on the that idea. Would probably be better to import one yourself, as you will have more to choose from.

Also, it's not expensive or difficult to buy a cheap WRX Wagon and fit Brembos/Suspension from an STi and tune the engine to 330bhp (or even fit an STi engine) to have the same/better performance than an STi Wagon. Obviously if you want the 6-speed box as well, it's going to cost a chunk more.

I'd say price it at the starting point of an equivalent year/mileage/condition STi saloon, +£500 and take it from there. Post some pics/info of yours as I'd be interested in taking a look.

IIRC from the facelift bugeye onwards the STi had a wider rear track, maybe it would have taken too much extra work to share that with the wagon?

I added a rear boot waist spoiler which improves its looks , I think the bugeye works well with a wagon, I will put it on eBay at 7750 and see what happens , the good thing about the cars is the mental revving engine , 8200 rpm which I've never expereienced in a car , but still a strong lump as its forged , or is 7750 a bit low ?

All the newage STI saloons have a wider track than the wagons. Nothing to do with the body shell though, just the components fitted. Driveshafts, wishbones, ARB etc. They all bolt straight onto a Wagon though, it's a common upgrade/retrofit.

If anything, they created more work for themselves by have 2 different track-widths on the same chassis. The one thing that would have been more expensive to do would have been the flared arches on the rear of the wagon.

At the end of the day, it's just a saloon that they have extended the roof and fitted a tailgate. Everything else is the same.

I don't know if I pitched this at the wrong price or do cars normally take a while to sell ? I've dropped it down to 6700 now see what happens

Very small market for them. Most people don't know they exist and people who want to pay a premium for STi's, want a saloon.

I'd like one but I'm not in a position to buy right now.
