Hi guys,

Should/will a WRX exhaust fit a Turbo 2000?

Both classics, WRX from mid 90's, Turbo from...2000.

I have a Turbo 2000 and bought the WRX exhaust and took it to a garage to ask them if it would fit. Reply back is that back box is fine, centre section looks like it would interfere with the prop and down-pipe the lamba sensor is on the opposite end of the cat..?

I have a stainless centre section already fitted, so not too bothered about that, and my back-box has a hole in it so that is ok to change, but the down-pipe is the biggest issue, does what I've been told sound correct?

Thanks.

don't know if this will work , this is the underside of a 2000 o2 sensor looks like just before the cat , the centre section can be different length is this where the problem is ? i would expect it to fit as it seems most exhausts are interchangeable

Can't open that link, but this is the exhaust I've bought.

As you can see the sensor seems to be fitted after the cat.
I'll need to look on my car to see where it is fitted on it, but the garage seemed to think it was before the cat.

Downpipe has a hole and is pretty much just rust around the bottom flange.

Garage have said, lamba sensor on my car is at the top of the cat, but on the WRX pipe it is at the bottom.
So if they fit it it will probably bring on a warning light and maybe not run well.

hi yes i get it now , what about a sports cat that you know will fit , all i can add was some turbos had different down pipes , i would not go catless due to mot time , you woukd need map checking , or option 2 source the correct pipe you need but would rust be an issue ? i'm in herts and have a local place who make an exhaust to your spec it's not that pricy , if you are keeping cat long term i would get one made up
