Impreza P1

I'm looking at these at the moment and have read that if the plaque next to the suspension strut reads 'Fuji heavy industries' as opposed to 'Subaru UK', the car may not be a genuine P1 and could be an imported and modified type R.

Anyone have any more info on this? What should I be looking at to ensure I'm buying a genuine P1?

Not sure about that, my Prodrive RB5 has 'Fuji heavy industries' plaque somewhere under the bonnet.

My RB5 says Fuji heavy industries too, I'd expect the P1 to be the same.

You will easily be able to tell a real P1 though as it has unique features and Jap import 2doors have the dccd iirc.
