Coilpack connector. Subaru Forester
Discussion
Joe, just seen this thread/your little dilemma. Seriously, you do not need to buy a new harness/pack. This plug is a bog standard JDM equivalent of a Delphi type unit...simply search ebay.co.uk for someone breaking an equivalent early car, get over to the seller, buy the thing, get home and fit...simples
This same connector was used on the Impreza too so plenty of single coil pack cars to choose from

It's a different connector to all the XT models, totally different harness and coil design/layout unfortunately. This same connector was used on the Impreza too so plenty of single coil pack cars to choose from

I can get a new coil pack from subaru for 260£ or a second hand one shipped from aus along with a plug for £200. If I get the brand new one I still need to source a plug, then the time comes into the equation as I need the car back and running ASAP.
One more day trying to find a plug closer to home then I'll just have to go for the Australian option and wait a couple weeks which is a major inconvenience for me and the other half (as I'll be using her car for work and she will be on the bus oops).
