I'm looking to replace the tyres on my Foz Sti as the current ones could do with a refresh. Anyone have any experience on the above tyres? I always used to run A048s or EagleF1s on my other Jap metal but the Dunlops seem to review well for the money. Found the above tyres for £131.50 a corner fitted which seems good.

Ideally hoping to hear from someone who has had the Dunlops fitted but all info gladly received.

michelin pilot super sport are apparently the bees knees, i don't agree and are expensive , i use kuhmo ku39 xl load on both of mine and they do a good job plus cheaper , the vredestien ultra sessenta are there top of the range and work well , i run rwd 500 bhp and the ku39 behave well , ku39 sensible price and work well , 225/40/18 through black circles are 72.41£ fitted

Thanks, just been reading up and the Kumhos seem pretty good.i had some Kumhos years ago and was impressed. I need 225/45/18 which is a bit unusual and managed to find them locally at £80 fitted.

I had the Sport Maxx on my Legacy. Horrible tyres. Don't rate Dunlops at all. Dangerous in the wet ( but they were the TT ones ).

The chaps above both know their stuff so their advice and opinions are well worth considering. My lad replaced the OE Dunlop sport maxx on his 2015 WRX STI with Michelin Pilot 4's and the thing sticks like you cannot imagine, much better than the Dunlops.

Should add : The Michelins are clearly lasting longer as well, the Dunlops were rotated twice but were 'shot' at 16k miles.

i went for the 40 rather than 45 profile as they are cheaper and very slightly lower profile , spare can therefore maybe become redundant , i have a repair spray instead for about 6 £ , if i did get a flat even with the correct size tyres i don't know if i would actually trust the spare tyre and risk transmission issues as subaru are very specific about what tyre size brand and wear on axles , even if the spare is intended for the specific tyre size , i've used ku39 for the last 6 or so years , tyre fitter agrees with them plus you can look up tyrereviews too , i do understand tyres are a very personal choice if you understand what i mean

Thanks for all the info, will be opting for the KU39's after your info. Nothing better than first hand experience.

I think I'll stick with the 45 profile as I do a fair bit of rough terrain and country lanes so the comfort is needed for the family.

Thanks again

Personally, stick with the factory size. I know the 40's will be cheaper but they are also over the preferred tollerance of +/- 1% ( 3.4% ). Also shows you haven't scrimped on the basics smile . This is not a dig at anyone else on here. Doubt if there is much change from a tenner between the 40/45's.

Edit - £68 for the 40's, £74 for the 45's at Camskill so £6 extra for the correct ones. No brainer for me.

the mrs fsti is on a 40 mine is on a 45 , the handling is slightly better on hers but very minimal and could be down to suspension , even though shocks and springs are from same company , so a judgement call for you as very little in it , but a good move is the kuhmo ku39 for a good tyre , the spare size is closer to the 45 but still off on size

Thanks MDMA that's much cheaper than I had found. Ordered and will be with me in a few days. Best price I had found fitted was £427 but that makes it only £362 for a full set fitted.
